Review Time
I asked for a refund for a technical problem. They promised they will send me a refund cheque by mail. I keep on sending them emails to follow up this issue since March. At first, they still responsed and made up excuses of: "because I brought it from Walmart, it needs time to do the account procedure, or the accounting department is in India, it takes time to mail it out." OK, I wait for 5 months, still not haven't received the cheque. At last, I emailed again on Aug.,17, they blocked my emai address. Anyway, learn a lesson!!
Horrible platform from start to finish. Not user friendly or intuitive to use at all. Spent an hour filling everything in on this "free" software only to be told I had to pay at the end because my file became "complex" when I entered in medical expenses. Then the next day when I went back in to review my file, it was gone. All of my tax information was still there, but the actual return was gone and nothing would come up when I tried to open it. Also, the software is not adapted for your phone at all, so it has to be done on a computer. Overall terrible experience. I have already deleted my account and willl be using a better option next year!
Ufile product is great.Been using it for years.This year ran into an issue with my refund being automatically applied to my husband's taxes owed.Despite looking everywhere and updating, could find nowhere to change this. I called the 1 888 number. Wait time 3 minutes.waited over 20 mins. Explained my problem and was asked to repeat.i did. Then was told CRA doesn't allow that.I explained that the software was doing it.She repeated that it wasn't allowed. Then she hung up on me! Rudest, most unhelpful contact center person EVER!!!
They advertise as free tax filing but they are not free. Only when you give them all your tax information they will take you to a payment page to file.They are not free.You can not call anyone useful at the company, they can not help and have no answers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
How do you give a -5 star review??? Stay away please dont waste your money or time! It's been one problem after another for me.The compatability of the software with the actual tax forms is HORRIBLE. So if you call revenue canada for help, they have a very hard time helping because there's hardly any form numbers for any of the fields in the software. It's impossible to ask Ufile for help unless you buy an upgrade, so forget that option if you don't pay. You'll have wasted your time and trapped into upgrading for some support.The government should not be allowing these third party companies to mess up our returns with so much confusion. Clearly many people are trapped into the "Free software" trap and then rush or guess their way to finishing their return without paying for the help they need to do it right. If they're going to offer free filing, support should also be offered for free especially when the questions relate to understanding the layout of their horrible over-complicated software that looks like it was designed by a 12 year old.
Worst customer service ever, the representative rudely disconnected the call during our conversation and refused to provide a refund, when their servers were down and they were unable to Netfile with the CRA due to their server error. Now I need to fill out all the tax info again with a different software that doesn't have problems (and hopefully better customer service).
