Review Time
I have been a customer of ufile for several years. Every time I was able to file my wife's return without extra costs. I got a promotional discount offer from them for 2023 year. So I took that. When I prepared the returns, it asked me to pay ufile for my wife. The receipt read Family Head plus two dependants. So, I would at least be covered for a total of 3 returns. It appears Ufile is using deception to squeeze more money out of its loyal customers. I had taken up on their promotional offers before and my wife's return was never excluded. Perhaps this time I felt generous and picked "premium" hoping for better service, but got reduced service instead. What a big scam!!
I contacted UFile with a very clear description of their software problem. I file a joint return with my spouse. A tab "Download the Notice of Assessment" was available for my return, which provides a link to obtain your Notice of Assessment after NetFiling. This entire tab was not provided with my spouses return. Over several emails, I detailed the problem, provided screenshots, and the evidence that the tab was to be available. Help desk response from JADE who was supported by her supervisor, was that I had to call CRA. They said the tax return was under review, although the tax refund was issued. I was finally able to obtain the NoA from CRA. When your customer service answer is to direct to CRA for your software errors, that is pathetic.
I used u file first time to navigate the system had 1 question stayed on the phone got an employee could barely speak english and said really fast in broken english what to do and hung up .trying to speak to a supervisor as i paid and cant seem to get through not doing it again
Don’t bother. I have slips for every dime of income, no self employed or rent or anything outside the boxes. This idiotic software kept asking for Covid income details (none) pension splitting info (I’m single) and would not progress past that. I tried two other software programs with autofill, both took only minutes and done.
I work in QC and live in ON. There is an RL1 at CRA that ufile didnt even download like it did my T4. Because of this I unbale to fill in any RL1 info and owed 7g. I had to find a workaround on redit to get it to display the correct boxes. I should have went to another platform as now I am worried what it submitted is wrong.
I have used this program for 10 years successfully but this year it is a piece of crap. Nothing works and It mixes up data between my wife and I am unable to trust it at all. I want my money back and I will find another software to complete the simple job of compiling and submitting our tax of 2023
Would give 0 stars if I could. Don't use if you have kids with or without disabilities. Or are self employed. Program is garbage. Support was even worse. The last person hung up on me while I was trying to talk and she was trying to talk over me. Horrible company
