Very good customer service, I had a problem with the instalation of the e-bike kit, and they answered very quickly, found out there was a mistake on my part I ordered the wrong part. Simon was kind enough to send me the correct part free of charge!

There is a lot of room for improvement

I bought Varstrom rear motor wheel and a battery for the rack to use it for delivering food and I have it for few months already and I think now I can give my honest opinion about it. Overall the product is good, but the quality - not so much. In the beginning, when I received the product, the wheel was with loose spokes, so I had to tight them myself. The spokes were terrible - they were breaking very easily. On all my bikes I've never broken a spoke before, and with this wheel I broke 6 for the first month. I had to order separately from different company thicker and more durable spokes, so they can last longer. I presume that in the near future I'm gonna have to change the rim too, because it seems that it's bending very easily and I'm not even riding the bike in the mountain. The battery doesn't last much if you want to go full speed all the time, but if you ride at 30-33 km/h, you can manage to ride 5-6 hours, also depending on the weather. Few weeks ago the wheel stopped working. After describing what the issue was, the guys from Varstrom were so kind to send me new controller and the problem was solved, so kudos for that. Although when I was breaking the spokes, they didn't answer my message. Maybe the warranty doesn't cover that, I don't know. Anyway the quality of their spokes is s**t, so they wouldn't help me much, but they could've still answered. It would've been nice thing to do. So generally the quality of the wheel is awful, not to mention that I had issues fitting the wheel to my very standard Specialized frame. My advise for them would be to put thicker spokes and to make more durable rim, because the wheel is heavy and in my case the battery for the rack adds extra weight for the rear wheel. The battery and the rest of the accessories are okay. The issue with the controller I believe was that some moisture got inside and maybe to some degree was my fault too. There is room for improvement here too - maybe to make different design and to be more water resistant. To summarize, I could've got better value for the money I've paid. I see Bafang (also sold from Varstrom) are little more expensive and I wonder if the quality of their products is better. I'm still using the wheel though and it does the job, although I have issues from time to time.

The product is as expected

The product is as expected. But there is a problem with customer service (as some other people have noted). Having said this, I do not mean that the customer service is "bad". More likely, this guy is overwhelmed by a lot of people like myself who must go to him instead of looking at a *detailed* user manual, which is nowhere to be found. I took to Chat GPT. Sometimes helps but sometimes not.

Don't understand the good reviews

Don't understand the good reviews. Broke after only one year. Now I think they sell fake stuff. Company actually gives very bad service. Bought two bike engines. One broke after only one year so started an issue. Had to do everything they asked to check for the problem. Video's, foto's etc. When nothing worked and proved the engine was broken, they did not respond anymore leaving me with shit. I did share my email to you before, but I don`t hear from you. The seller (you) does not give any reaction. I sent you this mail on 8 sept, 08:53As expected still no reaction of Varstrom. Don't expect service when you buy here

Very friendly and helpfull

My display was giving 100% battery, even when it was almost empty. I contacted them and within 24 hours I had a reaction.They looked with me what they problem could be and have send me a more expensive display without any extra costs. Great service and very friendly.

I ordered a Bafang BBS01 kit from Varstrom, which arrived timely and was offered at a great price. The product works just as intended and when I needed help with setting up the display, Varstrom support replied with a solution within one business day. Great experience, would buy again!
