recently visited a city and decided to purchase a city pass, hoping to streamline my visits to various attractions. Unfortunately, my experience with this pass was far from satisfactory due to misleading advertising and unexpected inconveniences.Firstly, the pass claimed to eliminate the need for queues at attractions, which was a major selling point for me. However, upon arrival at several sites, I was required to go to the desk to exchange my pass for a valid ticket. This process was time-consuming and defeated the purpose of having a pass that supposedly offered direct access. The most disappointing aspect was the Schönbrunn Palace visit. The pass only covered the most basic entrance, which was quite shameful. I had to pay extra to access the full experience of the palace, which was not clearly communicated when purchasing the pass. This hidden cost was frustrating and made me question the value of the pass.Overall, I found no real benefit in purchasing this city pass. It did not deliver on its promises and ended up costing me more money and time than anticipated. I would not recommend this pass to anyone and certainly will not be purchasing it again. My experience was disappointing, and I believe there are better options available for exploring the city without the hassle and hidden costs associated with this pass.
We were very satisfied about the Vienna Pass. Good info. The online possibility of the card.TIPS for improvement: info about the close of certain visits example the Spanish school was not possible to visit anymore! The pass is for 7 days it is not possible for 5 or 6 days, so we paid for 7 days and due to a Nacional strike in Belgium we could only use it for 4 days.
Quite a letdown. The details on how and where to use the Vienna Pass were not clearly communicated, which left us confused and frustrated. We were especially disappointed to find out we couldn’t even use the pass to reserve tickets for activities on our second day — meaning we couldn’t guarantee availability. In hindsight, we would’ve been better off just booking individual tickets online for the experiences we wanted. It would have saved us time, stress, and disappointment.
We could not purchase tickets to the Schonbrunn Palace online. That essentially meant two trips to see one site. The Danube Cruise was disgusting. Many other passengers agreed with us. The continuous graffiti on either bank was an embarrassment to the city of Vienna.
