Review Time
After a ton of research and reading product reviews I chose Vinotemp..it was a great decision, great quality, very attractive, it was worth the money, I was going to buy one for less money, but reviews were awful. So worth it, we love the 2 zones for red and white.
This unit is of high quality and has been working perfectly since installation 2 weeks ago. Hopefully it will be longlasting. The metal shelves seem sturdy and slide out easily. I was used to wood shelves on my previous wine cooler but these work better although the wood looks more luxurious. Perhaps Vinotemp could place wood trim on the front only of the shelves to achieve the same level of high end finish. The compressor is very silent and maintains the set temperature without a problem. Very happy with my purchase.
Solidly made housing, shelves that glide effortlessly, and a wine refrigerator that appears in person exactly as it appears on line highlight this Vinotemp unit. Extra care seems to have been used in packing the refrigerator for transport - a contract to other customers’ experiences to units that were damaged in shipping.Why did I ding the one star: the unit, as others have noted, is a little noisy and could benefit from a little sound absorption material. In terms of performance, the refrigerator has been effortless.
Called Vinotemp directly and was connected with Richard Moreno a great tech support! Our VT200 wine cooler was running extremely cold and the display was flashing on and off. Richard zeroed in on the power board and explained it was relatively inexpensive ($100 + shipping), and installing it ourselves shouldn’t be a problem with instructions including pictures. We ordered the power board which was delivered within 5 days. Upon receipt we installed— well o.k.— my wife installed the part while I held the flashlight. Richard was totally right on what was needed and the install! Our VT200 wine cooler works perfectly. The unit is 15 years old and we expect another 15 years out of it. Great product and except tech support!!
