Review Time
It’s alright and it’s nice to find 2nd hand items for good prices, but the issue I’ve been having has not been addressed by the customer service. One agent in particular by the name of Zidiria has been giving me a hard time. After 3 orders in a row having been immediately returned to sender on the same day as delivery, despite me using the DPD Flexbox address provided by the Vinted system, they won’t escalate or open an investigation. This is clearly an issue that I had requested to get looked into but the agent only repeated a generic response of “you didn’t pick the parcel up on time”. But how can I be late when the same day it “delivers” it gets returned to center for 3 separate orders? At this point, if the collection point cannot be used, Vinted should launch an investigation and/or remove this location as a shipping option. It’s especially difficult when sellers only allow DPD as a delivery service. I understand Vinted does not have control over delivery, but it affects Vinted when a courier service they support is not doing their job, but then to blame the customer when tracking shows it is not the customers fault. I had already placed the 3 separate orders before even realizing this address and delivery service would be an issue. Again, on the day of delivery to a 24/7 flexbox, the delivery driver marks the parcel as undeliverable and immediately begins a return to the seller. That’s suspicious activity that should at least spark an investigation. Same delivery company, same address 3x. After requesting to speak to a supervisor, I have not received a response from this Vinted agent.

Frustrating and Unfair for Buyers
I repeatedly pay for Vinted’s Buyer Protection and always use the in-app checkout — and yet, every time I actually need this “protection,” it turns out to be useless.
In cases where items were clearly not as described, with evidence provided on time, I was still required to pay return shipping myself. So I pay extra for Buyer Protection, receive a misrepresented item, and then have to pay again to send it back.
This has happened to me more than once, and at this point it feels misleading to call this “protection” at all. Buyers end up paying twice while sellers face no real consequences for incorrect listings.
Unless Vinted seriously improves how Buyer Protection is applied in cases of misrepresentation, trust in the platform will continue to erode.
I had a very disappointing experience with a recent withdrawal of £30 from a completed sale. After everything, I ended up with a loss. The current exchange rate indicates that £30 should be around €34, but I only received €20.24, which means €13.76 was deducted without any explanation. I was not informed about these deductions prior to making the withdrawal, resulting in a staggering 40.47% cut from the total amount, which is simply unacceptable. Other platforms clearly communicate their policies regarding withdrawals, unlike this one. In most cases, such significant deductions do not occur, so this experience has left me frustrated.
Indeed, there are scammers out there, but the platform can't be held accountable for every situation. I've reported two incidents to the authorities, and I successfully recovered my full amount in one case. I encourage anyone who has been scammed to file a report online; it can be worthwhile. Having purchased around 100 items over the last 15 years, I've encountered only a few negative experiences, which I can accept. In December 2025, I ordered three perfumes from different sellers, and they all arrived in perfect condition. I strongly advise the following:
- Utilize the platform's Buyer Protection system, even if it’s not foolproof (I’ve seen reviews where some didn’t receive refunds, and I sympathize with them). Still, it’s a much safer option.
- NEVER use PayPal for Friends; I’ve fallen victim to scams this way more times than I care to admit. It's better to transfer money via banking, which is now instantaneous. Alternatively, use PayPal Business and offer to cover the extra fee. If the seller refuses, it’s likely a scam. Overall, I believe you can have excellent experiences on this app and discover beautiful items. Just ensure the seller has a positive review rating, has been active recently, and trust your instincts.
I've been using the platform for some time now and I'm extremely pleased with my overall experience. The application operates smoothly and is very user-friendly. What stands out the most is their buyer protection. When I encountered an issue with a lost package, the service addressed it professionally, and I was completely reimbursed for the item's value. It truly gives me peace of mind knowing my money is secure.
Moreover, I find the service fees to be quite reasonable considering the level of security and convenience offered. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a dependable marketplace!
I've noticed a drastic change since the service became international. It now focuses more on inexpensive items, but unfortunately, my account was closed while I had over 500 listings that took me days to create. This happened after I was defrauded by a seller in another country who sold me counterfeit items under a legitimate brand. Despite being the victim and reporting the issue, I received insufficient support, and instead of closing the fraudulent account, mine was shut down. I cannot recommend this service. When scaling up, one needs adequate resources to handle complex issues, which they clearly lack.
The platform has changed a lot since expanding globally. It's more focused on low-cost items, but they closed my account with over 500 listings due to a single incident related to a fraudulent transaction. Despite being the victim, I received inadequate support and my account was closed rather than the fraudulent one. I can't recommend it. If you grow, you need the resources to handle complex issues, which they lack.
If you purchase through the marketplace and the seller sends you an item in poor condition, claiming support is futile. The customer service response is slow and unhelpful. I've sold and bought many items here, but they don't prioritize customer care.
