Hanging Houghton balloon ride 23/08/2025WOW! What a fantastic experience! Our pilot Peter Philpott and his team were amazing, reassuring and super friendly. Thank you for a wonderful flight and the chance to sprinkle some petals in my nans honour :)
I wouldn’t even give this company a one star review but that’s the only option to leave the Customer service staff are not helpful they try and resolve issues from a script even after speaking with a manager who states he trains his staff so no other options were given other than what she stated I booked for my daughters birthday the morning flights voucher but 4 flights was cancelled so I upgraded my voucher to evening and weekend for my daughter to give more flexibility as she is at uni and also works so I didn’t even think to see if the voucher expired and I didn’t book online as I got regular text messages saying flights available in my area but I checked weather forecast n could tell they would be cancelled so I rang them to book in as she was home for a month and they told me my voucher expired 3 weeks ago and if I wanted to extend it it would be a extra £39 after already paying the company £170 and with flights previously being cancelled I thought they would of honoured something else even given another date or area not be told to hand over more money or my daughters whole experience vouchers is no longer valid I appreciate ballon flights are weather permitted but you don’t send curtusy emails reminding customers to book before there voucher expires so quick to take customers money and customers have to accept when flights are cancelled but you can’t honour when someone has forgotten to check there vouchers. So I’m very reluctant to hand over any more money in case im in the same situation again and it become a money pit just to honour someone birthday gift
It took a good few years for the weather to play ball for our balloon flight but it was worth it in the end. Our pilot, Adrian Brown, was very professional, friendly and knowledgable which made the experience extra special. The whole Virgin team on the ground were great too. Such a wonderful experience!
Just wow! We completed our flight yesterday in Essex with Adrian. Myself and my partner just had the best time!! After a long year and abit wait, 2 cancelled flights due to the weather, we was feeling like this was the 3rd time lucky and we were at the point of giving up but honestly I’m so glad we didn’t. It was so worth the wait and I’m so grateful that we got the chance to do it. As someone who is not actually great with heights, I had no idea how I was going to feel up in the sky but as my partner bought me this as a present, after I said it was on my bucket list, I just push myself out my comfort zone and honestly I wasn’t scared one bit. Our pilot Adrian was so professional and experienced. He was full of knowledge and this definitely put everyone at ease. I would recommend this to anyone who’s thinking about it!! The flights are weather dependent of course due to safety but honestly keep booking because you will not regret it. The best experience of my life.
This is past a joke - the family is all exhausted and upset. Leaving this feedback as I happen to have just put the phone down from my Dad who still mentions being upset. It’s over a year, 8+ cancellations. His words “I can’t muster up any enthusiasm”. Listen Virgin we get that safety is paramount/weather conditions have to be right - in that regard people should be able to get their money back as cancellations are very likely/frequent. We so regret booking - is it the case you just take money and keep cancelling?? We only wanted to give our Dad a great birthday gift - another birthday has just passed and it’s caused a lot of upset. Shame on you!!
An amazing day by Chris, Ed and Russell. Unfortunately due to the climate we live in it was cancelled twice but that's no reflection of the people on the day. You won't regret it, it was wonderful from start to finish. I bought it for my daughter for Xmas and we both absolutely loved it. Would love to do it again.
A huge thank you to Adrian and his team for a wonderful morning helping set the ballon up and generally really being involved , we had an amazing flight seeing horses ,cattle and even golfers waving to us .The take off and landing was so smooth with a wonder flight in between .Finished off with some nice cold bubbly once we had landed .Thank you guys Chris and Cari
Had a wonderful day in Bath with my partner. The balloon flight was absolutely wonderful and as a nervous person scared of heights Nobby the pilot made me feel safe and confident. It was a glorious morning and wonderful crew...a big thank you to all....a trip of a lifetime...
