Identified cause for slow website speed - Vodien is the problem

Vodien's lousy products has their army of sales people giving all sorts of reasons why your plugins are causing the problems.I went to another provider and found out that all the reasons were not valid. Just jump ship.

I wrote a review previously and it was taken down. As of now - 27 June 2025 - my website is DOWN again. The database lost its connectivity - no one at vodien can do anything except writing emails to their engineers to escalate on this issue.All I can do is WAIT but there's no ending to this. This is very frustrating. We trusted Vodien, thinking its a SINGAPORE BASED company and that we have 24/7 support that's efficient and robust. But truth to be told, we have been disappointed TIME after TIME. Their engineers are not on site - there's no way to reach them and they can only write emails to escalate the case. As a business, we need responsive support. My last escalation lasted 4 days - because the engineers don't work on weekend. This is a joke right?Abysmal Service and Broken Promises - Avoid at All Costs!Our experience with Vodien since subscribing in September 2024 has been an absolute nightmare. We chose them for their promised 24/7 uptime and support, but have been met with nothing but constant issues, unacceptable delays, and frankly, appalling customer service.From the very beginning, our site's go-live and migration were severely hampered by protracted database importing issues and persistent website performance and slowness problems. We were told we'd be migrated to a new server to address these, but the issues never truly ceased.The latest critical blow is a "bad access error on cURL" affecting all our WordPress applications and plugins, completely halting our crucial website migration that was scheduled for three nights ago. This is causing direct, severe operational distress, jeopardizing our ongoing recruitment drive, and resulting in significant operation impact.What's truly infuriating is Vodien's handling of these critical issues. We've received vague apologies, promises of escalation, and repeated delays (initially 48 hours, then "shortly"). Now, astonishingly, we've been told there's "no one to look into the port issue," that they need "another 24 hours," and that there's "nothing they can do." This level of incompetence and lack of immediate resolution for a fundamental hosting problem is utterly unacceptable for a service promising 24/7 support and uptime.This continuous pattern of downtime and unaddressed critical issues has caused immense stress.If you value your website's uptime, performance, and responsive support, look elsewhere. Our experience with Vodien has been a disastrous waste of time and resources.

I’ve had terrible experiences with Vodien.They took over my existing hosting company (who had been great) and promptly oversold me a product which was way bigger than I needed. I had told them I was a one-person company and that all I needed was a simple website and a couple of email addresses.But the Vodien rep I spoke to signed me up for a scaled-up business plan with 100 email addresses!I was naive enough to not check the details and pricing until much later. I called Vodien and told them how they’d deceptively oversold me and that I wanted a refund.Surprise surprise, I never received a refund. And they’ve been phoning and emailing me ever since, trying to sell me products!My hosting plan yearly renewal was due last week so I turned off the automatic renewal option on their website the week before.They’ve still been emailing me reminder notices about my plan expiring. Today they called me again so I told the guy I didn’t need the website or email addresses anymore – and he still tried to sell me a plan! I was furious, and said I’d be leaving online reviews of their shockingly bad service.My advice to anyone considering Vodien? Stay away!26/06/2025REPLY TO VODIEN"S REPLY:Funny how you only offer "concern" and help now, long after I first complained to Vodien about their service. It wouldn't be because I've gone public with my complaint, would it? This message from you is too little, too late, Sambrin. And it's not that the plan "offered" wasn't what I was expecting – it's that the plan I was sold was far too big for my needs as I communicated to your rep. The word you might use is "upsell". The word I experienced is "oversell". And yet I received another automated email from Vodien today, urging me to renew my expired plan. So obviously, the latest of my many requests for you to stop communicating with me has again been ignored.Unless you're going to offer me a refund for the money I spent on a plan too ridiculously big for my needs, I don't see how you can "make things right".
