Was originally offered £12800, went a couple of weeks later and was offered £12100. Went to sell the car which was in very good condition according to the guy, then he dropped the price to £11,200 because we didn't state it had a previous owner, which was an error! Shocking! Total scam and waste of time
Went to Grantham wbac and was slightly late. The guy greeted me with “you’re late” and was extremely intimidating and rude. I decided we couldn’t deal with him after the hostile way he treated us so drove to Clifton. Was offered £12700 for our car which we accepted and agreed to do after taking our private plates off. Got this sorted and called them to be told the offer was still valid. Drove to Clifton on my day off and spent half a day while the very helpful guy tried to override “the system” which had decided it was going to rob us of £700 for taking off our private plates in 3 days. What a waste of time and a great example of how big business just walks all over consumers with absolutely no recourse. Shame on you.
If i could give no stars i would.
Turned up to my appointment and was advised they were running 40 mins behind. No contact from them, they were non cahlant about it and almost like it was a joke!! There were 2 customers ahead of me and the 2nd customer was not happy. The man dealt with us as if it was a joke.
If you are not on schedule make some attempt to let people know, that is common curtesy and don't be arrogant about it.
It’s very difficult to get the price that they state. My car was immaculate but was down graded £500….do what they can to get you there and then…well, you know the rest. The guy on site was good though.
Awful. The Guy was rude, underprepared for the appointment, was putting barriers up to paying for the car than offered 300 under the valuation price on 465! Car has mot, tax, 4 good tyres, tank of petrol, new brakes and brake pads last year, and running perfectly. It is a 15 yr old Peugeot its full service history. He offered 175. I said I would get more by scrapping the car. He said I would get 100 which is a lie. What an utter waste of time!
Every aspect of the transaction was explained precisely and made very easy to understand also the gentleman who delt with the sale was very polite professional and precise a total pleasure to do business with.
Basically a bait-and-switch scheme to exploit selling fatigue and people who are desparate. Remove about 2k from the online valuation, and that'll be your final price, which is roughly 50% of the retail value. I was stupid to reject a motorway offer due to the "First inspection" coming in at a price that was just slightly lower than motorway, but felt like less hassle, only to be bait-and-switched on the final offer which was 1.2k lower than the "first inspection offer". Basically they're a last resort option if you actually need the money urgently and are willing to take a massive loss. I walked away and relisted on motorway, carwow and autotrader, which is the sensible thing to do, even when you're in the middle of a move to a new country.
Significantly lower offer than quote given, well below a reasonable offer.
Refused and walked (or drove) away.
Sold it elsewhere for a reasonable amount.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE.
Went the frome office. Met with Riley and then the next day due to me not being able to make it back to riley, Met Jacob. Both were great not pushy at all and were great to speak with.
Car was offered less for than quoted online, totally as expected due yo condition, but was offered more than I had anticipated.
Really easy straightforward way to sell a car rather than advertising and dealing with people.
Everyone who had told me wbac would offer me loads online and then pennies in person were wrong.
Nice cabin to do business from.
Just valued my other car online and if I can sort replacing my service history documents I will probably sell it to wbac as its so simple :)
