Seller beware. Very disappointed in the way they evaluated the books I sent. Dubious reasons for allegedly scrapping some of my books with absolutely no evidence to back up their claims. One of these books was brand new, another a widely published book that apparently was misprinted and another that made no sense and despite asking twice for an explanation none was given. Essentially these items have been stolen from me, I sold them in good faith yet have been given no money.
Insulting prices offered. Typing in codes for unread books that cost as much as £25 and was offered 10p. Stopped after entering 9 items and getting offered £6! Back to eBay for me then.
Very slow with payment. I had to prompt a week after items arrived. Items rejected as allegedly missing or badly stained. I’ve emailed WBB twice for explanation I dispute their assessment. No reply or acknowledgment. I’ve used WBB for trades both ways for some years but recently their evaluation is cause for concern and doubt. Not happy.
I don't understand how this DISHONEST shower are not in jail for Fraud. EVERYTIME I buy from them, they have been totally DISHONEST in their description and the book is always damaged and used and not how they describe.
The entire process was straightforward. Sending the books was hassle-free, and the courier collected them without any issues. Payment was received quickly. Although a few titles were not accepted, most were taken without problems.
In my experience, their service is generally reliable and transparent, distinguishing them from their competitors. Their trading practices are refreshingly straightforward: if they find a fault with an item, they offer the option for a return. This reflects their integrity and fairness. On two occasions, high-value items were appraised incorrectly; however, I managed to reclaim them and later sell them independently for a much better return. Their flexibility in this regard underscores their commitment to customer trust. Another significant benefit is the ability to send items via Royal Mail at no cost, which greatly enhances convenience. However, there are areas that could be improved. Customer service can sometimes be inconsistent, and response times may be slower than anticipated. Additionally, the minimum trade value of £7.50 can be a hurdle for those, like me, who often use these services to offload smaller, less valuable items. This threshold can feel limiting and affects the practicality of trading lower-value goods. Overall, I recommend their service for its honesty, transparency, and added conveniences, while acknowledging that improvements in customer support and trading flexibility would enhance my overall assessment.
