About 4–5 months ago, I purchased a subscription from "Wheeling" and I had been using it regularly since then. I received two batteries with the bike. One of the batteries was in fairly good condition, while the other one had a crack on it. I didn’t notice it immediately, but later it caught my attention. However, since the battery backup was still quite good, I didn’t think of replacing it.

To be honest, when I received the bike, my main concern was the bike itself. Although I recorded a video of the bike, I didn’t take any separate photos or videos of the batteries.

About 2–3 days ago, I went to Wheeling for servicing due to another issue with the bike. That’s when they checked my battery and claimed that I caused this damage, and that the battery cannot be taken out unless it is replaced & I have to pay for that. This was shocking to me, because I had been using the battery comfortably for all this time without any issues.

I explained to them that the battery was already in this condition at the time of delivery, but they refused to accept it. Instead, they cited their Terms & Conditions and imposed a fine of 4,000 DKK on me. I was completely stunned. I tried countless times to explain that this damage was not caused by me. Eventually, I requested them to at least consider reducing the amount, but they did not show even the slightest flexibility. On the contrary, they behaved very rudely with me.

In the end, feeling extremely upset and helpless, I returned home.

At first, I thought I was the only one who had faced such an incident. However, later I came across one Pakistani person and 2–3 others who shared similar experiences, where Wheeling allegedly scammed them in the name of their so-called Terms & Conditions.

Is there anyone else in this group who has faced a similar situation? If yes, please respond. We are planning to take legal action against Wheeling. We don’t know how effective it will be, but such injustice should not happen to anyone.

Felt helpless & Trapped!

Literally got trapped into a huge compensation. I cancelled my subscription & will never use wheeling again!!! When i took the bike, one battery was slightly broken (cracked) that i haven't noticed instantly. Later i noticed but haven't complained about it because the battery backup was actually very good. But when I went wheeling to fix another issue (front wheel & carrier) today, they are claiming that I have to pay 4000 kr. for the battery! Eventhough the battery completely works fine & provides great battery backup!I massive compensation which wasn't even done by me. They are literally setting trap for people in the name of so called "Terms & condition."

I have used Wheeling’s service for a long time and respected their terms. Recently, while working my night shift, my bike was handled roughly by drunk individuals, and the battery was dropped, causing a small cosmetic crack on the top plastic.I returned the battery on the first working day. It works perfectly – charges, locks, and the backup functions normally. Even though this was a minor, cosmetic issue and the battery is fully functional, I may still be charged the full replacement cost (large amount). I even contacted Wheeling by email, politely requesting a reduction or waiver of the fee. They clearly informed me that nothing could be done.The battery was covered by insurance, and while this particular damage might not fall under the insurance policy, Wheeling could have shown some consideration given that the battery is functional and only a small part was damaged. Charging the full replacement fee for such minor damage is extremely frustrating.Based on this experience, I will no longer use Wheeling’s service and will advise my circle to avoid Wheeling.

I had a disappointing experience with Wheeling. The service quality was poor, and the staff behavior was not satisfactory. They are very quick to issue fines even for minor issues, which feels unreasonable. Overall, I would not recommend this company and suggest renting a bike from other providers instead.

Good support system so far

Had some problem with the first bike that was issued to me but upon pointing out the problems mechanic had a look and changed the bike immediately. So far experience is good with wheeling.
