This is my third watch from William Wood, and once again they have exceeded expectations. The limited edition honoring the Great Fire of London in 1666 is absolutely stunning. The watch looks amazing in photographs, but it is even more impressive in person.
The dial is truly exceptional. The texture, depth, and detail give it a character that you simply don’t see in most watches. Depending on the light, the dial reveals different layers and patterns that make it feel almost architectural in design. It is one of those watches that invites you to look at it again and again.
The finishing across the entire watch is excellent—the bezel, case, and strap all feel premium and thoughtfully designed. William Wood has a unique ability to combine meaningful historical storytelling with high-quality watchmaking, and this piece is a perfect example of that.
As someone who now owns three William Wood watches, I can say their consistency in quality and design is impressive. Each piece feels distinctive and purposeful, and this limited edition honoring the events of 1666 is a fantastic addition to the collection.
Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates distinctive design, strong craftsmanship, and watches with a story behind them.

William Wood are one of the finest micro brands out there, and endorsement from reputable aficionados is testament to this. The great fire of London piece stands out with a gothic flare. Both elegant and artistic, I would recommend William Wood watches to any serious fan of horology. Tom helped me and was incredibly efficient. Fast delivery, excellent packaging and presentation. Thank you to the team at William Wood
William Wood watches are fantastic timepieces, but enjoying a conversation with the Founder at British Watchmakers Day 2026 was a real treat. I managed to get my hands on a Limited Edition piece and the customer service on the day as well as following up from the purchase (helping with new straps, etc) has been brilliant.I hope this brand continues to expand and produce the great watches for many years to come
Has to be one of the best British watch micro-brands. Love my Great Fire of London. This brand has everything I love about watches - a unique brand story, a distinctive design language, environmental credentials, attention to details and quality. I’m blown away by mine.
Recently purchased my 2 nd William Wood timepiece the Triumph collection Heat edition limited edition . Great microbrand with soecial features its lovely timepiece with chronograph and date complications. The case is 16mm but its not noticeable on my wrist and wears well as an everyday watch. The straps are offered in my styles/colors and fire gear and black firehose work well . The lume is excellent and even on subdials. great detail items on case with WW logo and seconds track The packaging is very well designed and first class and is fun to unbox. The owner Jonny will personally email you Lastly they do offer an installment plan thru partial.ly
I do love my watches and have a collection, varied in value and style but the more i get into watches the more interested I become in the smaller/unique brands, those with a great story and just something a little different to the every day. I actually follow Russell Crowe and it was his post i saw last week while on holiday skiiing that pointed me in the direction of William Wood, now I see these types of hints from influencers and celebs often and tend either not to be that impressed or simply dont like the designs or price of the recommended brands, I was pleasantly surprised to spend a little time on the WW website, loved the story, loved the designs and loved the varied options, so decided to order one as a little gift to myself after recently selling my business (i didnt want to spend loads of money on yet another watch that either stays hidden away or is thought to be something ive bought to impress others). Despite not seeing a watch in person, to my absolute shock and delight the watch arrived this morning, packaging was excellent, watch roll very nice to receive and the watch iteself, despite being the entry level by cost is gorgeous. My daily wear Rolex has gone straight back in the box and this is going to be a firm favourite, im already thinking of buying another, and one for my brother. By some margin this is the most comfortable and best looking watch strap i've ever worn, almost unnoticeable on the wrist. Keep up the great work 'William Wood' really great to see a UK watch brand doing everything right.
