DO NOT USE, just such an awful company altogether. Once you sign the contract and put your 50% deposit, customer service is a thing of the past. So poorly ran and operated, EVERYONE is rude, its unreal. If you want unresponsive, unprofessional and unfinished windows, then Window World is for you.
This all started on February 22nd 2023 the company came out to install the windows the inspector wasn't there the inspector then came out and inspected the windows and it failed what a surprise. After speaking with Jay from Window World they have decided they got to come back out on March 30th with the inspector to inspect it what a surprise again. They have met this morning March 30th and the windows have to come out and be reinspected after all the time I have spent putting the blinds back up and repainting the outside I'm going to have to do it again. Jay at Window World and Window World Incorporated do not care about you all they care about is getting your money. Obviously the owner doesn't care as long as the money keeps coming in. I would recommend FAS or New South window or east coast Window and Door do not use Window World they might offer you the lowest price but what good is price when they don't stand behind what they say
Thankyou to Daniel and Mike for their installation today. They were so nice, courteous, professional and punctual. We really appreciated their service and The Lifetime Warranty they offer!
I initially ordered 11 windows and two sliding doors from Window World of Volusia, FL in December of 2021. In February of 2022 I ordered an additional 10 windows as well as a new front door with sidelights. The total contract was just under $42,000. Fast forward to Q3 2022 and the work was still incomplete. I am not going to take the time to detail the dozens of contact attempts over twelve months. November, December 2022 and January 2023 the installations failed building inspections. Repeated calls (27 in total) to the local office in Ormond Beach, FL went unanswered. I visited their office in person and was assured someone would call me. No call. I visited their office again and the front desk person tried her best to get me answers while I waited. Ended up speaking with a troubleshooter who also came to my home to inspect. Great lip service, no action. Repeated calls to the corporate offices (for Florida) in Orlando were fruitless. Finally reached out to the CEO of Window World in North Carolina; no reply for almost a month. After three or four email exchanges and the same in phone conversations with the CEO of Window World of Florida (a franchise btw) more lip service. I finally chose to withhold the last $7k payment (which I openly communicated in advance) and they promptly filed a lien against me and my home. Two months later and following the failed inspections I chose to pay the balance in full (on advice of my attorneys) and they failed the third inspection. I am hiring another contractor to finish the final minor items so I can move on with life. You are strongly encouraged to not do business with this company. Again, buyer beware.
May 2022 – Reached out to Window World for a free in-home estimate. Decided to purchase our windows and doors with Window World. We put in an order for 12 windows and 2 doors all hurricane rated, totaling $25,440. October 13th – Received a call from Window World Scheduling Department want to set up a day for the window installation as our windows had arrived. I was asked if Monday October 31st would be good. I said yes and was given an appointment time between 9am – 11am that the installers would arrive. October 31st – The window of time given to us for the arrival of the installers came and went. At 11:08am I called Window World of Orlando and spoke with Jasmine. I told her that the installers had not arrived and asked when will they be here. She said she would send a message to them and they would call me back shortly to tell me when they would be arriving at my house for the installation. At 11:49 am when no one had called me back, I again called Window World of Orlando, this time I got Elijah on the phone. I told him about my conversation with Jasmine and the fact that the installers had not called me back. He said that it would have to be marked as a no show and my appointment rescheduled. At this point I am about to blow my fuse. He could not reschedule me I would have to wait for the Scheduling Department to call to do this. About ten minutes later the installers called to say they ran over at another job and were on their way to my home to do the installation. They arrived close to 1pm at my house over 2 hours after the latest time for my appointment. By the time they were done with our installation it was 1:30 am Tuesday morning. They said that had driven in from Tampa which is on the other side of Florida to do this job.November 1st – Due to the late hours that this installation ran into my husband and I did not notice the issues we were to find the following day after the installation. They did not.November 28th – Jose from Window World of Orlando came to my house after 5pm wanting to do the final inspection on the windows and doors. I told him he could not as the windows and doors failed inspection and we were waiting for a second inspection date. He told me that someone in the Orlando Window World office told him to come out to my home to do this. December 1st – Window World of Orlando called at 8:13 am to set up a time for the County Inspector to come back out to reinspect the windows and doors. I told them that Jose had been out on Monday of this very week and had me sign a paper for the time and date. They said they never got it so we needed to schedule a new one. December 9th – Called Window World of Orlando to set up date and time for finishing touches on windows since they passed inspection. Got voicemail left message. No one called back. December 14th – Missed a call from Kevin at Window World of Orlando by 1 minute. Tried several other times but Kevin never picked up his phone.December 15th – Called Window World of Orlando to speak with Kevin. Was told Kevin is a manager and had just gone into a meeting. Update: If I went into great detail about our experience with Window World of Orlando it would be too long for the response box. We ordered windows from Window World back in May 2022. They were installed on October 31st 2022. Here is a list of things that were wrong after the installation. Broken glass and debris left outside our house which was paid for in removal and disposal fee, installation started 2 to 3 hours late, did not finish until nearly 1 am in the morning, crew that did the installation came from West Coast of Florida over to East Coast of Florida to do the installation, windows failed county inspection, locks on slider windows not fully installed, locks finally installed but came out due to stripped screws, window screens not properly manufactured, we are still being charged for a door screen we did not want to the tune of a $178.00, trim around the outside of the windows and doors still need to be put on. After filing complaints on several websites including the BBB and Google Reviews Window World of Orlando finally responded to us. The left behind debris was finally collected, the slider window with the damaged locks will need to be replaced, still waiting on that, also noticed the caulking was coming apart around several windows as well as the windows themselves were not manufactured correctly. By that I mean I can stand inside my house and see daylight through the seams of the windows. That is not good. All of these things I have pictures for.
After spending 15,000 and having every window installed be scratched I would never recommend this place.Sales is lacking with response or actionCouldn’t open my windows for 5Months because they didn’t install the hardware I had to keep repeatedly text Paul and it has been the worst experience ever The trim work looks unprofessionalMy windows are not the same size which looks stupid when the old ones were I’ve never seen such poor work Or poor communication from a business
Window World Roanoke - I hired them to replace six drafty old windows in a 100+ year old farmhouse. They came out and did an estimate quickly. They advised it would take 6-8 weeks to manufacture the windows and come out to replace. About five weeks in, I tried reaching the salesman who came out to check on the status of the windows. He never replied to my email. I assume he probably puts the order in and has no further knowledge. But a reply would have been appreciated. After 8 weeks, they called me and advised the windows were ready. They had an opening in their schedule just a couple days later, so I took them up on that. The installers ran into some challenges while trying to get the old windows out that added an extra couple of hours to install time, but they worked hard and didn't charge anything extra. This is the second time I've used Window World (the first was Asheville, NC). My parents also used them by my recommendation and had a great experience. They're not cheap - not by any means. But they do a good job and offer a good warranty. I would use them again.
Poor quality I can feel air seeping in. Workers were fast but broke 1 window i didnt pay for. The mgr in virginia had attitude and adked ME how the worker broke window wad I not watchinh him. Company replaced window but i think its defective a year later i still have trouble with that window
Never again. Window World provided a terrible experience. We ordered from them last year. A salesperson came out and met with us. We told him exactly what we wanted and he was great. We were supposed to have a bay window and two front windows installed in August. The day came and they installed the front windows but said the bay window arrived in the wrong size. The installers left. No one called us to follow up. A week later I call them and am told that a new window has to be made. They can't tell me when it will be ready. 8 weeks later we still hadn't heard anything. I finally called the district manager who passed me off to the same person who'd been telling me "we'll call you when it's ready." In October the window finally gets installed, but instead of replacing the soffet to accomodate our low profile bay window like we requested, they were going to put up some ugly transition piece. The installer pushed back and said that wasn't right. Finally in November the installer came back and put in the soffet. I was told the bay window would never have to be touched and the trim is already splitting away from it on the inside. I have no idea why. I have no clue who is managing these projects at Window World, but they are doing an absolutely horrendous job. I will never use them again and I do not recommend them.
