Review Time
Fantastic looking hexagonal raised bed which has attracted some nice comments from people seeing it this year. Was very easy to build and is great quality. Only negative was although I expected some movement, due to it being a natural wood product a rather large, unsightly gap emerged after only a couple of weeks. Woodblox were very good in as much as sending a longer replacement capping piece to cover the gap they weren’t too keen on my idea of supplying metal angle connectors for future hexagonal beds like they do for there square/rectangle ones which I feel would solve this problem. However overall I am very pleased with raised bed and would buy again
I have over the last few years used WoodBlocx and purchased 6 units in various sizes and shapes for my garden. The first was a square pond which for some reason was wrong sized, this was very quickly rectified by WoodBlocx at no extra cost in fact they sent me extra blocks.Since then we have purchased 5 more for our front garden which look great we often get great comments from passing folk and a few have asked how they work and the ease to build them. The system is so easy to use and look great, they would be great help for disabled wheelchair users or elderly people to garden as being raised there is no hard bending.
I've been using Woodblocx for many years, since I first saw them on Dragons Den. I keep adding various items to my garden nothing fancy just edging, some retaining walls and large tree tubs.Always been impressed with the company and its products especially the lifespan of the blocks which other than natural aging shows no sign of degrading.
I noticed that a couple of Woodblocx were showing signs of rot and contacted the Company to explain the situation. No quibbles, they asked for a couple of photos and they sent 26 blocx to replace the section under guarantee.Absolutely wonderful service.
Now that the structure has been in place for a few months and is planted it looks very good in the garden. The contractor who was revamping the garden which included fitting the Woodblocx planter had extreme difficulty when putting down the first layer of blocks due to the fact they have to be laid so accurately. It was very frustrating to the degree that one member gave up! Eventually the first layer was completed and the succeeding layers went in very easily. I would happily recommend the product but with the advice that initial layout must be totally perfect!
