Review Time
I have built 2 raised beds using WoodblocX kits, one large, one slightly smaller. They are so easy to build and do not need great strength to do so. Plans are straightforward and very easy to understand. Customer service is excellent. I did have another large combination of beds planned for me. Plans were drawn up , with a choice of designs, and alterations made as I asked. Due to family illness I have not yet ordered the design decided upon but there is no pressure at all. The beds I have and been admired by visitors and the one at the front of the house has been commented on by passers by. I would highly recommend them.
A good product. When assembled, the walls of the raised bed are much thicker than other brands, so should last a long time. The most time-consuming part of construction was getting the ground the blocks would sit on even and flat. Instructions were easy to follow, and all blocks fitted together well, although there is some slight unevenness in the block spacing when assembled, with occasional blocks not fitting entirely flush. I used sand for the base, as suggested in the instructions, but found when hammering the corner blocks in, that the base would spread out and lower at the corners. These are minor points; the beds look good and are working well. My gardening-mad wife loves them!
Built our first vegetable beds with WoodBlocx about 4 years ago, and they still look really good. Once we’d levelled the ground, building the veg beds was straightforward. They are still really sturdy and I’m just about to order a 4th planter from Woodblocx. Very happy with them.
I ordered a large L-shaped raised bed from WoodBlocX. I had excellent telephone support when placing the order. The wooden 'brick' based system allowed me to modify the final raised bed to suit my garden. The instructions are clear and allow an amateur gardener to complete without help; no heavy beams to handle. The final result has been a glorious, sturdy alpine raised bed. The design I chose has a built-in seat which allows full appreciation of the plants.
Initially I ordered one long raised bed and two smaller ones, all three foot high. They were just what I wanted for the garden. I was really impressed by how they fitted together and they came with very simple instructions, to the design I had made. I then ordered another four raised beds as I was so pleased with my purchase. They were delivered on a pallet which made it easy for the drop off.
