A change of name was required on our flight ticket. Two hours on the phone with WOTIF at the airport and they could not help us and lost the flight. We purchased two new tickets to fly to our destination. The return flight in the meantime was cancelled by the airline but no communication from our agent (WOTIF) so I had to purchase another two flights to get home.
Numerous hours of ‘chats’ with WOTIF on my return to get a refund and they just claim it’s the airlines fault.
Worst customer service ever.
Never ever use them again.
Booking holiday accomodation through Watif.com was one of the worst online experiences I have ever had. They are owned by the huge conglomerate Expedia which also owns vrbo who manages rental accomodation for the host of the property. This makes the cancellation process confusing because you have to navigate through various links and tiers of information. They don’t make it easy for you to find the relevant information. Once you find a link that works you are taken to an AI generated chat which goes nowhere. After over 40 minutes, I accidentally found a link to a customer service chat-don’t ask me how, I accidentally stumbled across it. Eventually I was able to get a partial refund even though their policy states 100% refund within the allocated timeframe The customer service person couldn’t explain why it was only a partial refund. After over an hour of time wasting attempting to navigate this process, I gave up. I will never book through Watif.com again. Their customer service, coordination between their products and online interface are absolutely APALLING!

I spent hours trying to reconnect. After waiting through several queues, I finally managed to get through by staying on hold. When I did, they assured me everything was resolved. However, I soon discovered they were not truthful! They claimed to have contacted our accommodation, but upon arrival, the clerk confirmed they had not called, and the reservation was still incorrect. The clerk mentioned that there have been numerous mistakes with customers lately. They were very understanding and, despite the mix-up, accommodated us. AVOID this service! If you prefer a customer support team that is dishonest, then go ahead!

As an experienced travel guide and author in the region, my latest booking experience with this service was an absolute disaster. I currently advise against booking with them until they provide a way to speak to a human or email for any issues, which is nearly impossible. Their customer service is virtually nonexistent beyond their frustrating virtual platform. I booked accommodation linked to various other booking entities, which complicates matters. Despite taking out cancellation insurance and documenting numerous attempts to correspond, I have yet to find a resolution. I feel utterly let down and will no longer trust this service.
The call center puts you on hold for a maximum of 5 minutes. I don’t expect them to answer my request to cancel my booking. I’ve been charged excessively without my consent. This service feels like a scam. Still waiting on hold.
Avoid booking with this service! They placed us in the wrong, subpar hotel at the airport. I had specifically booked a well-rated hotel with amenities, but they put us in a budget option with no restaurant, no shuttle, and a tiny room. The staff was rude, and it seems like they won’t compensate us for this mix-up. NOT OUR FAULT.
Everything seemed fine until I inquired about early check-in. Instead, I received a cancellation from the hotel and an excuse from the service saying I requested this. I'm uncertain who to blame, but I know I can't trust them again.
I made a reservation for September with free cancellation and payment upon check-in but was still required to provide credit card details, assured I wouldn’t be charged. The confirmation I received indicated a non-refundable option, and I later found I had been charged the full amount. Attempts to cancel were met with a refusal from the virtual assistant. After reading numerous negative reviews about booking errors and poor customer service, I feel cheated. This is unacceptable, and I will never use this service again.
This service uses an incompetent AI virtual agent that provides nonsensical responses. I've encountered similar issues with AI from other companies, and I’m done with this one. Additionally, all the links in their email communications are faulty, including the unsubscribe link.
