If I could give no stars, I would. As per other customers, ordered a hard back book ,nothing arrived . I emailed them to be told I had misunderstood and ordered an e book which was not true . Told all sales are final and no refund available . What nonsense. They are also operating under another name as bookworld . Reported to bank who have issued an immediate refund and will report to trading standards . Shameful...and i have emailed them to tell them so.
I bought what I thought was a physical book, but it turned out to be a digital-only eBook, which was not clearly indicated during checkout. Initially, the seller denied a refund, stating that all digital sales are final. However, this is not accurate under UK law. Digital products still have a 14-day cooling-off period unless it is explicitly stated that this right is forfeited and agreed upon before the purchase, which did not occur in this case. After referencing the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and raising the issue further (including reaching out to the payment provider), the seller finally agreed to issue a full refund. If you find yourself in a similar situation: You have the right to a refund if the product was misrepresented. The policy of “no refunds on digital items” does not supersede consumer law. Escalating the matter to the payment provider can be effective. Sharing this to inform others of their rights and encourage them not to give up.
Misleading website - only sells ebooks. I ordered a book and received a confirmation email saying the order was being processed for delivery to my address. I assumed I was getting a physical book. After two weeks without updates, I contacted customer support to check on my order, only to find out I had purchased an ebook and should have received download details, which I never received. There was no indication they only sell ebooks. Even if they do, they don't make it easy to download them, and I'm unsure if I can access the book I ordered. This could be a scam.
Avoid this seller. The website is deceptive and only offers ebooks without stating this clearly. This seller is a SCAM!! Do not be deceived into thinking you are purchasing a physical book. Despite their claims, you will end up with an ebook. Refunds are unlikely. They should be reported to authorities for misleading customers into believing they are buying a tangible product when they have no intention of fulfilling that promise and will instead provide a digital download.
