Horrible experience regarding check in. Called several times to get exact location of caravan located within huge resort and I was not able to get the right support. I was receiving confusing and wrong property numbers including, wrong key lock codes until late in the afternoon.We wasted hours in hot weather trying to locate ghost property. Support was keep saying I should get all check in information and location via automatic email the day before. They left me hopeless with exhausted toddler and indeed 3 automatic emails arrived at 8pm on check in day !!! Real nightmare.
The holiday home we stayed in was beautiful. The owners had put a lot of effort into making it into a lovely place. However the company that run the holiday park I would not reccomend.We had paid a good amount of of money for our stay. We arrived and found the beds had not been made up when I spoke to the company I simply got back "we look after our staff, and during the heat we tell them to leave the beds" I advised do you not look after your paying customers then? Again this is nothing to do with the owners but the company who runs the bookings. We was supposed to be the ones arriving on our holiday to get hot and bothered making all the beds up. The property was not fully cleaned debris on the floor and crisps (loose) left in drawers and not cleared up. Again no apology for this. The bin liners were just placed on top of bins (which I totally get is easy for me to do myself, but again why should I when I have paid for a service. Again she simply replied we don't put the bin liners in regardless of the weather is hot or cold. We also had some issues with the electric going out. I reported this and she basically came back with its down to the holiday park. No advice of who to speak to but didn't try to help.She was very unhelpful and didn't apologise for the inconvenience of the property not being fully cleaned pr us having to make our own beds up. I advised I would not book a hotel room and be expected to make my own beds up.I must stress this is nothing to do with owners. They have a lovely holiday home.
We arrived in the area and our pre booked accommodation was not suitable therefore we found ourselves with 2 toddlers at 5.30 in the evening needed to find emergency accommodation. We were able to book instantly with booking.com and received the details straight away. The park is lovely, it feels very safe and the facilities are good. The kids loved the pool and clubhouse entertainment and the little play areas around the park. The caravan was a good size, all beds made up on arrival and was spotlessly clean and tidy despite us booking and arriving within an hour so that was great. There’s also a little decking area which is gated so the kids could be outside without worry of escaping. All the information we needed was provided through booking.com to access the key so no face to face contact was required. The caravan itself however is right next to a service road, bins and the rear of the clubhouse kitchen meaning there was constant noise from the extractor fans so we couldn’t open the windows at night on that side which meant it was quite hot. There is also no parking space meaning carrying all the luggage across from the main car park which when you have 2 kids and buggies etc is a pain. The location of the park is great, easy access to lots of places within a short car drive. The sandy beach at Dymchurch is lovely and there’s a small amusement park for kids. We would definitely go back to the park but unlikely to the same caravan purely based on the noise from the extractor fans
Me and my partner just celebrated our 18th anniversary at this amazing caravan park "WINCHELSEA".. we was able to also take out two lovely dogs with us❤ which is a very rare occasion for us, as its hard to sometimes find dog friendly accommodation, especially last minute. The only one down side i would say is that we did not receive free WiFi, which was a bit of a let down, as we had limited access to TV function, and for the cost we paid, I think it should have been included. But other then this, we would definitely recommend and return...Happy customer 💯
Very very poor the place smelt awful as soon as we walked in there, there were a few bugs and so many spider webs on the ceiling vents and the floor, it’s like the place hadn’t been cleaned or used for months. I don’t normally complain but I could not stay in this place with my 6 month old baby we had to go else where. We told them the issues and did not give us a refund! I wish I took photos but it was late at night needed to get my baby to bed. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Overall we had a very enjoyable week. Jorden entertained the grandchild very well though disappointing the characters were not in residence. Lifeguards were fun and restricted access to pool was managed well. Shop on site was reasonable and provided essentials with a nice smile. Bar food and drinks overpriced a little
