The problem was sorted quickly and the payment received quickly too. I would have liked to pay extra to my excess to have the car repaired rather than written off but company policy did not allow for that.
Awful, just don't purchase House Insurance from these, bad experience.

My storm damage claim was refused because wind speeds were said to be around 44mph, not 55mph. However, there is no minimum wind-speed requirement anywhere in my policy documents (policy booklet, IPID, Statement of Fact or Acceptance Letter).
Ageas relied on website guidance and then said this information was given to the broker and not their responsibility if it wasn’t passed on to me. I don’t think it’s fair to refuse a claim using criteria that were never disclosed in the policy. I am now pursuing this as a formal complaint.

I took out a new home policy and, as a disabled individual, emailed on the specified date to request my documents by post. I received a single letter stating the documents were enclosed, but the envelope was empty. I've been trying to reach an adviser and appreciate the hard work most call center staff put in, but after struggling with the automated service multiple times, I hung up. I'm willing to update my review if the company can satisfactorily address my concerns. I expected better service considering I provided my policy number.
