Airbnb is a company which has no moral integrity. As a quest you have no rights. We were falsely accuses by an apartment owner that we done a small damage to a chair. We disputed it but the money were taken out of my account anyway. I had no say in it. They even didn't bother to investigate the issue! I feel helpless and bullied by them. £100 gone without having any say in it. :-(
Airbnb login system is a bloody joke.. The new captcha they are using is time consuming and a clusterfuk.! That has locked me out of my account for 24 hours WTF!I do not know why they don't just use the 6 digit number sent to your email, as many other companies do. Why does it need anything else, it's not a bloody bank..!!I remember having to complain a while ago about their last security login system they implemented, which was also cumbersome, useless, and that also locked me out of my account..
Worst customer support ever. I can't believe this company still exists. They can't fix a simple issue and keep changing peolple on the chat tread. I'm just repeating myself over and over. Definitely, would not gonna use Airbnb again if there is another choice.
I booked a long-term stay via Airbnb, expecting a livable, peaceful space as described. What I got was unbearable: nonstop noise in the shared living room, loud TV and music until 3AM and from 8AM again. There was no mention of this situation in the listing when I booked. After my complaint, the listing was quietly edited to include “noise potential,” which was not visible in my booking view – clear manipulation. Airbnb support has been a nightmare: I provided video proof, screenshots, and detailed explanations – yet I was asked the same questions over and over, forced to repeat myself, and pushed to cancel my own booking without any written guarantee of a refund. I refused to be tricked into giving up my rights. On top of that, I couldn’t even access the apartment for the first 3 days due to severe flooding and a cyclone – roads were closed, Ubers canceled. I was forced to find emergency accommodation. Airbnb showed no understanding. I am exhausted, financially at risk, and emotionally drained. I am still waiting for justice and a refund. No guest should go through this. Airbnb has failed to take responsibility – and the way they treat guests is shameful.1. Unannounced and severe noise disturbance:The listing described the accommodation as peaceful. It explicitly stated “No Parties,” and there was no warning about increased noise levels or it being a “student accommodation.”In reality, a roughly 50-year-old flatmate was constantly present in the shared living area, playing loud TV and music for hours — often until 3:00 AM, and starting again around 8:00 AM. Sleep was impossible. This situation was not disclosed in the original listing and only added later (“Noise Potential”) — which I can clearly prove with timestamped screenshots.2. Airbnb’s massive failure and contradictory handling:I reached out to Airbnb support multiple times and submitted substantial evidence (including a video recording of the noise, screenshots, and a full written timeline).Despite that, I was repeatedly ignored, pressured, and not given any clear confirmation. They advised me to cancel the booking myself — without any written assurance of a refund. This is unacceptable, especially since I am clearly entitled to a refund due to the defects in service.3. Natural disaster – property was inaccessible for 3 days:For the first three days of my booking, I was unable to even access the property. A cyclone and heavy flooding hit the area. Roads were officially declared impassable, and my Uber driver could not get through.I had to book an emergency accommodation, which I can prove via receipts, news articles, and Uber logs. This makes it clear that I paid for a service that could not be used, through no fault of my own.
After driving 16 hours I looked forward to what Air B&B advertised as a quiet private place was nothing of the sort! No mention that a family of 5 with 3 small children would be staying 5 feet away from me in my so called quiet/private place. I called Air B&B to cancel my stay 15 minuites after arriving. They thought it was fair to keep half of the over $500 I paid for 4 nights! Do yourself a favor & forget Air B&B and checkout places when you get to your destination instead of relying on their BS advertising description & pics of the places that might have been nice years ago!
I recently had a disappointing experience where my honest, policy-compliant review of a stay was removed after the host disputed it. Airbnb claimed it was retaliatory, but made this decision without asking me for any additional context or evidence. It felt like they automatically sided with the host instead of conducting a fair and balanced review of both sides. As a long-time customer, I expected Airbnb to protect honest feedback, not silence it without giving me a real chance to explain. If hosts can get critical reviews removed this easily, it undermines the trust and accountability the platform is supposed to support. As a long-time guest, I expected Airbnb to protect honest feedback, not silence it without a fair review. If hosts can simply get critical reviews taken down, it undermines trust in the entire platform.
I'm absolutely appalled that their customer service team is failing to change the card for my 'free cancellation' refund. The card I used for payment is now defunct - I want the refund to go to the default card on my Airbnb account. I spent 15 minutes on the phone just now being told the same thing again and again - no one 'able' to complete this simple and reasonable task which people must ask for daily. I will avoid using Airbnb in future.
Airbnb have excelled thmselves today. Apart from over 2 weeks trying to get my property removed which it should have been 5 years ago when I bought it (the previous owner had an account). So genericaly going back and forth AI replies little personal reply. Then now a reply in German ??? I speak English - cant believe they are so bad would never use them as a customer or renter
I'm absolutely shocked and disgusted to hear that AirBnB's cofounder Joe Gebbia is part of DOGE helping an increasingly dictatorial government dismantle security departments, social welfare, education, nature conversation and more. If Joe Gebbia is not immediately dropped as a chairman of the company and publicly ousted as he should be, I am leaving AirBnB. I love AirBnB, but this is supposed to be a company that celebrates cultural diversity, exploration and building connections, not a company that helps an authoritarian president ruin the currently longest-running and second-biggest Democracy in the world. I don't care that Joe Gebbia is apparently doing this "in a personal capacity" as communicated by AirBnB. The lines between personal, political and business are now blurred because Trump made them blurred. By accepting huge payments from billionaires, selling Teslas from the White House lawn, or making the yearly Egg Roll a business-funded event, just to name a few examples.
