Woeful Customer ServiceGood luck trying to speak to a manager, the customer services will fight tooth and nail to stop you proceeding with a complaint.With regards to a complaint, this company has NO complaints procedure. If you disagree with them, they simply tell its tough luck.Oh and isint it telling how many bad reviews are on here and yet the company cant be arsed to address the reviews. I think it speaks volumes when a company like AIRBNB or BOOKING.COM dont respond to these comments left by their customers, feels like they're happy to take our money and take us for granted.
I deleted air bnb and WOULD never use again. Worse customer service I’ve ever received to include I had to deal with oversees call takers at scheduled appt times of 9PM or later due to the time difference. I refuse to use this company and will warn everyone about the neglect they provide individuals
I had been a die-hard Airbnb fan until my last experience. The host unfairly and untruely accused me of damaging a piece of furniture that wasn't even in the house! When I refused to pay her, she blasted me on a review. I reached out to Airbnb multiple times to get the review taken down because it was UNTRUE and bogus, but they will not remove it. The customer service rep I spoke to really didn't understand me at all. I feel really disappointed as they were my "go to" for finding great places to stay.
As a host they are brilliant. I can speak to a real person easily and resolve issues with ease. Sure their rates are high but worth every penny for peace of mind that everyone and everything is insured. I’m delighted as a host. Unlike booking . Com who are impossible to deal with and have zero support for hosts. Double booked my place at my expense.
Airbnb (not my host) cancelled my reservation at the last minute with an automated message:"You told us you'd rather cancel your reservation than finish the last step of checking that you're really you". However, I did not cancel nor was I asked for any ID verification. When I contacted Airbnb, I was told "the computer did it". When I escalated to a "specialist", I was told that Airbnb was having trouble with the host over unresolved safety issues. They recommended three alternative properties that were poorly located and hundreds of dollars more. When I complained, they offered me $20 discount on a $584/night property. All this caused me cancel my trip (and volunteer role). BEWARE!
