Within half of an hour of returning a car to Alamo at YEG Airport, I called for my son's glasses being left in the trunk. The CSR physically went to check to tell me the car has already been rented to someone. Three weeks passed not a courtesy call from Alamo or any follow ups. It was my first time renting from Alamo and Im sure it would be my last.
A terrible experience. I would never recommend them; they don't even deserve a single star. Even though I had no accidents or incidents that could have caused any scratches, they charged me over €2,300 for a tiny scratch on the bumper that likely occurred before or after my rental.
This scratch is so small it’s almost invisible to the naked eye, yet they billed me this astronomical amount. Charging the price of a small car for a minor scratch on a plastic bumper—what do you call this? It's a total scam! To make matters worse, they blocked my email address so that I couldn't reach out to contest it. Their understanding of customer satisfaction is zero. Stay away at all costs.

I chose this service for its convenience and reputation, but it turned out to be one of my worst rental experiences. I opted for the highest insurance coverage available, only to discover that tires and windshields are not included, with no option for extra protection. This is particularly concerning given the local road conditions, where tire damage can occur without any negligence. I returned the vehicle with no known issues. The day after, I was informed of tire damage and that I would be charged $250 USD for a replacement. I was completely unaware of any damage and had no incidents during the rental. When I reached out to management, the representative took a rigid and uncompromising stance. While they were professional, there was no willingness to reconsider the situation or provide any goodwill. I mentioned my frequent travels to the area and my desire for a long-term rental relationship. I requested flexibility in the charge or a goodwill credit for future rentals, but neither was entertained. I was taken aback by the charge, as a similar tire replacement in the United States would be significantly cheaper. I also contacted several local rental agencies, all of which confirmed that $250 USD is excessively high for a tire replacement in the area. These agencies also provide coverage for wheels and windshields at a nominal fee — something this service does not offer. Had there been more than one tire affected, the charges could have escalated to $1,000 USD, with no coverage available. Given this experience, I cannot recommend this rental service at the international airport. Travelers should seriously consider local rental options, verify coverage details, and ask comprehensive questions before making a booking. I will not be using this location again, and I will advise my family members to avoid it as well.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! NO REFUNDS FOR UNPROVIDED SERVICES. I have a credit card from a financial service and had previously paid for driving insurance as well! They are refusing to officially confirm a refund of $600, which I paid in advance, only to be told at the counter that my card isn't accepted. Additionally, they claimed they couldn't send a confirmation email regarding the payment and were unsure how long the refund would take, despite my payment of $600. The situation was made worse by the unhelpful attitude of the manager at the pick-up location. Nowhere was it indicated that my card type wouldn’t be accepted, and I don't understand why it was accepted for payment initially. I was left to deal with this alone at night, with no empathy from the staff. I even offered to provide details for a different card, but that was refused. The manager claimed she didn't have time to confirm that I would receive my money back! I'm on vacation with nearly $700 blocked because I trusted this unprofessional company!
The service I received was outstanding. The representative's warm smile and positive demeanor made me excited for my stay in the area. She was not only informative but also incredibly kind, going the extra mile to share insights about local attractions and providing a helpful map. Five stars for her! I opted for the mystery car and ended up with a compact model that was perfect for my needs. It performed well on the highway and was fuel-efficient, featuring a phone charging pad and wireless connectivity. I purchased the comprehensive coverage package, which included roadside assistance, tire and windshield protection, and zero excess. Although it matched the rental price, the overall cost was still reasonable. Returning the car keys was straightforward, but I noticed a lack of airport signage for the rental return, so I simply dropped it off in the same location where I picked it up. I would certainly choose this service again!
My reservation was canceled by the company, and they retained my prepaid funds. Since it was booked through a third-party platform with a 'no refund' policy, they assert they have no obligation to refund me—despite the cancellation being their choice, not mine. There’s no accountability here. I'm down $300.
I rented a vehicle from the service, but upon arrival, they insisted I provide utility bills, which was impossible since I'm not from the area. They used this as an excuse to keep my booking while denying me the car. This requirement was not mentioned on the voucher. To make matters worse, the vehicle I was offered wasn't even what I had originally requested. Overall, it was a frustrating and misleading experience. I recommend looking for other options.
Worst company ever. We Booked with insurance and safety. After an incident. The towtruck never came. It was promised 3 times in a 4 hour timeframe. No tow truck, no service from them. After this time we asked if we could leave the car because it was not allowed to stay there anymore by the Police. It was at the docks.
They said yes and we got it recorded, at the service they said we didnt get another car. No car, no sleeping spot, nothing. Worst carservice ever. No uber. They didnt give another car even after the video's we showed that they promised it themselve.

He clearly and efficiently guided us through the entire rental agreement, addressed all our questions without any frustration, and took the time to highlight key features of the vehicle, ensuring we felt at ease driving off. His attention to detail and polite manner transformed what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth and reassuring one.
Always make sure to record a full video walk-around before leaving with your rental. I highlighted existing damage to the staff at pickup, but they failed to document it. When I returned the vehicle, they attempted to hold me accountable for the same damage I had pointed out. Thankfully, I had a time-stamped video as evidence. Without it, I would have faced charges for something I didn't cause. This situation was incredibly frustrating, highlighting the need for a more reliable check-in/check-out process that safeguards customers. Renters shouldn’t have to rely on personal evidence to counter false claims. It felt like I had to prove my innocence rather than them ensuring proper inspections. If you rent here, document everything to avoid issues.
