Incompetence, Confusion, and Lengthy Response Times

Requesting a "Guarantee of Payment" in order to be admitted to the hospital (based on the Emergency doctor's recommendation) took 2 days. So I had to pay US$4,000 upfront and hope to get approved. For some reason, they misread the end-date of my coverage and told the hospital that my policy expired. Pure fabrication. Of course, there were multiple calls to solve, with Allianz staff who sounded like they were reading cue card answers.Once discharged after a 6-day stay, it took Allianz 6 hours to approve payment. Why? The first approval letter from Allianz to the hospital misspelled my name. Then they put the wrong dates. Then the total amount requested was incorrect. Remember, each time Allianz made an error meant a minimum 45 minutes with an IV in my arm. (The hospital policy was to not allow you to leave the hospital until the bill is paid. And keeping an IV in your arm is good way to stop you from leaving.)I still had some outpatient expenses that I covered myself rather than wait hours from Allianz to pay the hospital directly. It turns out that this will take up to 10 weeks to review and approve or not.In summary, I was shocked at the level of incompetence at Allianz. And pure confusion resulted when calling Claims (who refer you to Case Management, who refer you back to Claims, who refer you to the Medical Team, who refer ... on and on it goes).

Lack of internal communication…

The lack of internal communication inside Allianz and bad administration is having a negative effect on my health. Due to their bad communication there has been no treatment.

THE WORST

THE WORST Please don’t go to allianz. Its like a game for them : they keep rejecting claims and asking for weird documents and see ic you have the time to challenge them. I have twin babies. They would accept one baby claim and deny the other while it is exactly the same claim with exactly same history and same documents. You don’t understand. They refuse to reimburse completly saying its above market rates, while the expenses come from hospitals within their own networks. They app is a scam, always lagging, can’t see which claim relate to what. Its horrible sincerly don’t sign with them you will be better off. I gave birth 6 months ago, my hospital bill is not settled yet because they keep transferring from department to department while it was a simple c section. Its the worst insurance really don’t take it.

Incredibly bad

Incredibly bad, if I could give a negative rating, I would. Comprehensive health insurance contract with outpatient cover for a travelling student (visa Vacances Travail). The first claim was honoured without issue, the next two (for simple specialist consultations) were rejected, and a flurry of ludicrous documents requested. Apparently I had to ask the doctor to write a comprehensive report that includes information about the symptoms and treatment that go well beyond what an health insurance should ask for, and that I were so detailed that even I would nit have been able to answer. And considering how busy are the doctors in France and how difficult it is to gean appointment, there is no way they would have complied. Fortunately in the meantime I had been accepted into the public health system which covered everything full without quibble.Stay well clear of Allianz, especially of their comprehensive (expensive) health cover, it's not worth the money nor the hassle.

Legal Scammers / Nightmare

Legal Scammers. They live by drinking blood of their customers. They will do anything and everything to not pay you, they will keep requesting documents from you so you give up and don't have to pay. They keep asking me stuff which is really hard to provide them and all that for a $80 claim. I had NIB before, has no problems. I am even planning to take them to small claims court for their behaviour.

ignorance and absurd behaviour !!

The most absurd thing is that i didn't even get to onboard with these guys.. Ignorant behaviour when answering questions or giving quotes.Anyway feels like a scam of some sort as the emphasis is just to SELL SELL SELL...They just want a quick SELL and if you ask more questions they disappear and ignore you!! There is a saying - a fish rots from the HEAD DOWN. So if there is an upper management that actually gives a damn, they should look at their sellers' or brokers' ethics and behaviour ! THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT !!!

pointless ticket insurance

We purchased ticket insurance for a Vegas show through Ticketmaster. “Cancel tickets for any reason” this is extremely misleading! Our flight changed and so we missed the show and our claim was denied… and then the review was denied. Do not waste your money on this extremely limited insurance!!

To old for insurance

I went online search for medical insurance in Thailand,got in touch with Allianz whom then sent me for a medical3 weeks later got reply saying they would not give me insurance.The Doctor who gave me the Medical informed me I was in good shape for my age with a few minorDefects.Thank god they knocked me back after reading these reports.I have since got medical insurance with no medical involved.This company said I was to old for insurance, well your loss and my gain

absolutely the worst company i have…

absolutely the worst company i have ever dealth with. I have been paying them premiums for years but when i actually needed them it has caused so much additional stress during a period when i was already worried enough about a tumor that needed to be removed.My operation was delayed by months because they failed to properly contact the hospital to give pre-approval for the operation. I had to chase allianz constantly and without ever letting me know they had closed the case and declined the operation, so we had to start from scratch again - all this time the hospital could not schedule the operation. There was no apology for this delay, just saying "we will train our employees better in the future"But this was not all; i paid the expenses out of pocket because i think allianz just ignored the invoice they got from the hospital and then the hospital contacted me directly. I paid, submitted the invoice to allianz, they asked from some additional information (statement of my bank to confirm i had really paid for it) and then without any request for further information they declined the claim. I am now following up on this and causing so much more stress.Honestly do not deal with this company; i am going to take this further and make an official complaint to the relavant parties outside of allianz to look into their practices) as i do not want anyone else to go through this.
