We have been with Allianz since 2005. Our premiums have more than trebled in that time - we are a captive market and can't go anywhere else. Every interaction with them is a major trauma. If your case is not urgent its all but ignored. A call centre agent said a case only becomes urgent if they are chased by the patient. My recent near death experience has eventually resulted in Allianz arguing the toss over a Euro15 charge. On a follow up they have sat on the treatment guarantee form until the day before my supposed procedure, and I have just spent an hour trying to sort it out. If you're about to buy health insurance, go somewhere else. If your company uses Allianz, urge them to look at BUPA.....
The customer service is non existent. They leave it up to the customer to pursue communication. I learned that family I was staying with had Covid one night before travel and had to cancel. I provided documentation and the company denied my claim. This illeged insurance seems like nothing more than a scam to make a few dollars without a true protection or service. Shame on American Aiines for using this brand. I will go elsewhere for insurance from now on.
I am their customer because I had no other option, due to a global company contract. Since years I repeatedly make worse ever experiences. They try to reject claims by all means or just delay payments sometimes above the contractual limit. The rejection reasons are sometimes "funny" (they wrongly mean that I was a child under 12 respectively that the alleged contract limt was reached...). Doctor's diagnostics are mostly not understood or ignored. Even if these are very clear, therefore self explaining, more explanations and justifications from the doctor are asked, however these do not mean that a claim will be recognised. Data privacy seem also not to play a central role, as well as the customer instructions regarding the payment details. To clear a claim too often involves many, repeated emails, customer service calls, re-involving the doctors to write justifications, even if the diagnosis is self-explanatory, etc...there is much more to say...I am very disappointed about so much unprofessionalism and cannot recommend this insurance to nobody, but the opposite.
I paid the membership fee, which they claimed they could not place it. I sent them bank receipt with the payment details as proof. Additionally, called my bank to make sure the transfer was complete, and now they don't even respond to my emails anymore. Lost my money and have no insurance. Very disappointing experience.
If there is less one star i can give Allianz. they refused to pay the medical Treatment for the Emergency. however its clear in the contract. Allianz Care the worst company in the world. They do all the tricks to refuse the payment. I dont advise any one to deal with this company
NO ETHICS! HORRIBLE ... HORRIBLE COMPANY. We bought a good long term care police early. We were in our early 40's and bought in October 1999. They stopped selling long term care insurance in December 1999. NOW... after all these years of faithfully paying our annual amounts I just received a letter, and they are raising our annual amounts by 300% from the original. REALLY... they are only supposed to be able to raise if it is across the board... A.K.A. everyone.... really... we were in our early 40's how many policies do you really think they have in addition to ours. Let's see.... take your money for years... then raise it so much when there are so few left you want to cancel. Is that ethical? NO... dishonest YES... do NOT trust this company. PERIOD!!! DISHONEST, LIERS AND COMPLETELY HORRIBLE.
They have refused to pay legitimate claims stating that I had a prior medical condition. I have produced reports from two independent medical professionals (at a cost to me, greater than the claim itself) stating that this was not a pre-existing condition but they still refuse to pay.Then they have taken my premium twice in one month and refuse to return it. Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with
applying non justified exclusions on medical insurance claims based on what they call : reasonable market price, it's a very easy way for them to reimburse the amount they want. This is a coporate insurance that I have here in the UAE and i am not feeling secure anymore having it, specially that healthcare is very expensive here.
Bad customer support, no body can give me the right information and it takes days before they reply. It took more then a week to get a declaration of insurance. And my question if im insured for covid 19 they never replied me.A very bad cancellation policy, im insured through my company and i cant cancel it because of a year contract. They told me i can only cancel if im insured through another allianz and the 24/7 service has a really long waiting period before they pick up their phone..Bad bad badIts not worth the money!
