Barnsley practice are amazing!

On Wednesday I turned up to Barnsley animal trust as soon as they opened without an appointment as my German shepherd Lola was lethargic, yellowed skin, grey gums and high temperature. They saw her within minutes and kept her in for the day for investigations and immediate treatment. Megan was Lola’s lead vet and kept me posted through the day. There were financial obstacles which Megan gave alternate options and was very accommodating. Lola came home that night and was asked to come bk in the next day before opening times to continue with iv fluids and more medication/bloods.She was diagnosed with liver disease then anemia.I have no doubt in my mind that if they had not have been so accommodating Wednesday morning that my girl would now be over the rainbow bridge, so was so poorly. I can not thank the whole team enough for taking such good care of her and I will be forever grateful. Lola’s not out of the woods yet but her levels are going in the right direction and I have a lot of confidence she will get better because of animal trust Barnsley! Forever grateful! Thank you.

Ashton Service is good

I recently changed from a local, private vet to Animal Trust for my two cats. The price difference is staggering, so much less at Animal Trust. The online chat and booking system takes a little while to get used to but works very well.Free onsite parking and good public transport links too. I have used both.

Avoid Dewsbury at all costs

Avoid Dewsbury at all costs. I wrote a complaint letter, had an acknowledgment to say I would get a reply in 3 weeks. Now been 6 weeks and not heard from them. My dog had been given the wrong medication dose for over a year. That is how long it took someone to notice. He had been given injections by vets and nurses and we always gave them his weight. When he showed signs of being in pain we called up on a Saturday lunchtime to bring him in urgently as he had cancer but was told they were too busy and to call an emergency vets. We took him to our previous vets in Dewsbury Calder Vets and they were amazing. He was given strong pain relief and passed away at home the next evening. We called Calder vets and took him there to arrange his cremation. After reading previous reviews I am so glad we couldn’t get him into animal trust. The vets don’t care about your precious animals. They are rude. They miss important things. Appalling company to deal with.

Totally agree with previous comments…

Totally agree with previous comments that theyre more concerned about your wallet than your pet. Given bad advice twice re medication. Today it cost me £27.20 for 4 tablets costing 20p. They might not charge for consultation but they sure make up for it when charging for the prescription.

I can’t thank you enough

My french bulldog had glaucoma in her eye I didn’t have insurance . I couldn’t afford a specialist and was lucky to drop on animal trust they have saved me 1000s and the care is just unreal they truly love animals and don’t rush you out off the door or take your money for nothing . Megan at Barnsley she is just the best vet . She’s caring .understanding. Positive . And my girl loved her from the minute she saw her so I knew she was in good hands . I can’t thank her enough . My baby girl had her eye out and meagan was there all way through . So a massive thank you .

Animal Trust Bolton, bad attitudes from reception staff & mixed up my appointment , cancelled yet sent me a message saying changed appointment time ? so all the stress to my dog in the car for nothing , and not none for profit at all > not concerned for the animal, just your wallet!

I thoroughly recommend this vet practice. The vet listened to our concerns, carried out relevant tests for which results were received promptly. The vet was so caring and I’m so glad I went to them for a 2nd opinion!!
