Monty, my sister's adopted cat, was put to sleep today by a very empathetic vet who treated my sister, Lilian, myself and Monty with the kindness we've found renowned for this animal trust feature in Failsworth. Empathy throughout has been the way the three of us have been treated all along, as was my precious sheltie, Kai and myself throughout my Kai's life also. That goes for all staff at Animal Trust, Failsworth. A big hearty thank you from Lilian, Monty, Kai and myself. Trust with confidence Xxxxxx
Animal Trust Rhyl Honestly the best vets we have used they explain everything and are so understanding. Jessi had a recurring Bladder issue which hopefully now we understand the issue is now resolved. The after care is second to none. A big thank you from all of us we are getting our happy little lady back to being the happy girl she was before
My mum went to get flea tablets and the vet gave her one and said come back and alls you need is one more, she went today and was told no you have to buy 3 so the vet lied and you took £40 off my mum who’s a pensioner this is totally unacceptable and you have conned her is that how a vet should work conning old people wow absolutely disgusting avoid this place like the plague if life isn’t hard enough you have these cowboys robbing you blind
Animal Trust Telford. This was a private vet practice which my dog loved prior to being taken over by Animal Trust.Yes you don't have to pay a consult fee - but loads of hidden fees are added on to cover it.For instance high charges for prescriptions, charges for liasing with pet insurance.Hardly any medication in stock, no evening appointments can be booked as they are "saved for emergencies".The staff from there are lovely, but the management is appalling. The company only seem interested in emergency treatment. If you want regular routine stuff - avoid them. They seem to actively dissuade clients from just the routine stuff by making it very difficult. For instance repeat prescriptions, not only is there an extortionate charge of £27 for the prescription itself, they will only give paper prescriptions. Which you need to collect and post in the mail to any company you are purchasing medication from. A scan or photo is not accepted as the presc states "written copy only valid"
Birkenhead practice & Ellesmere Port (their emergency partner)A lot of honest folks are fooled by the ‘not for profit’ slogan they use as their banner because they don’t charge consultation fees. I know I was for a while, and have had three animals under their ‘care’ but back then, I thought that’s all I could afford until I realised I was being lied to repeatedly, robbed and not given the proper care. I’ve since moved on to New Hope vets in Wallasey, an independent surgery who are looking after my pet properly at a lesser cost. When my own present dog was suffering from seizures, no-one at the Animal Trust made the connection with the chemical castration implants which he was receiving every 6 months. When he was suffering from hotspots (moist acute dermatitis), they carried on prescribing Simparica against fleas and ticks when that very medication was responsible for them. New Hope understood straight away and both treatments have now been suspended and my dog hasn’t had anything wrong for 10 months. To show that the Animal Trust over-charges for everything, a set of steroids and antibiotics for the hotspots cost me over £120 at the Animal Trust and only £57 at New Hope (including the consultation fee). But I can no longer keep quiet and need to vent my anger with their latest malpractice regarding my friend’s dog who was seen for a haematoma in his ear (my previous dog had the same thing twice so I know exactly what’s what with this type of things). The vet, who could hardly speak English, told my friend they would have to sedate his dog to remove the liquid (which thankfully, he refused). The liquid was drawn without any problem and the vet, looking at a price list on his computer, told him they would need to send the sample to the lab (£130) which I thought was totally unnecessary. The vet then declared he needed to give him some ear drops (£40) as the haematomas can be caused by an ear infection, which the dog didn’t have. Both ears were clear and he hadn’t been shaking or scratching his head. My friend being really upset about his dog was prepared to do anything. And at the Animal Trust, they know how to cash in on that. They just sent him home after paying £170 – for nothing. They got the lab results but only called him 48 hours after receiving them. By that time, the ear had filled up again but he was told they hadn’t found anything wrong and that he should make another appointment which he did for last night, Wednesday 7th November. But yesterday morning, the same vet called him to say they couldn’t be sure of anything, that it might be bad, that they might have to operate and possibly cut half of his ear off!!! WHAT? That’s when I stepped in and registered the dog to New Hope and got an emergency appointment on the same day.A proper vet, a proper consultation: ear emptied, head bandaged to prevent refilling, course of antibiotics and steroids for 5 days for a total of £105, and that included a £45 consultation fee! She even confirmed that sending the liquid to the lab had been useless and she would never have done that. The Animal Trust are incompetent and dishonest. Their vets always look harassed and you can hardly ever see the same person twice. On top of that, they even lie about the Trust Pilot reviews saying their customers are satisfied with a 4.5 rating!!! They’re the DISGRACE of vet practice and I’m looking into suing for compensation.SHAME on you ALL.
Telford branch !!!!! My dog needed to see a vet ASAP at 8.30 am ,I was told there were no vets in the practice until 10 am ,Surely if a vets is open at 8.30 a vet should be on the premises. Phoned up the same day to request my dogs records to be sent to a new vets I have moved to when I arrived at the new vet 5 hours later the records had still not be sent over , awful awful service Such a shame that the vet that was there before was outstanding ,
We had sadly take our girl on Friday 1/11/2024 to have put to sleep she was 16. We wasn't force into it we were given our options. But it was right for her. She was treated with dignity & respect which is what we wanted 💔 we went to the Bolton branch
