Tawanda was a very courteous and helpful driver. Everything was done professionally, and the glass display unit arrived in great condition. And great value for money. I would highly recommend this company.

Three failed deliveries attempts over 2 separate weekends, has been my experience .

First charge was £125, which I lost because my phone sim was switched off. My error. But was in the flat and if driver had contacted me via whats app or buzzed the flat , they would have reached me. Anyways £125 lost a d AnyVan offered to reschedule same day for another £60. Which I agreed to. Driver didn't show up in the 4pm to 6pm slot.

Rescheduled to the following week. No sight of driver again waited in all day. The What's app track a driver link didn't work, neither was the driver contactable. Numerous wasted calls all day to the service centre and what's app messages fobbing me off saying the driver will be there between 4pm and 6pm. Ultimately was a no show.

Ive lost all confidence in the company by now so have arranged delivery with another firm, which went smoothly and without issue.

So asked for a refund , appreciate the first missed delivery was partly/mostly my fault , still don't understand my flat buzzer not rang, company could not WhatsApp message me, since that was there preferred cons style.

Company only prepared to offer £60 refund and pocketed £125. Despite 3 out of 3 deliveries been missed and all wasted time on my side. Is that treating the customer fairly. You be the judge?
Reason provided for only £60 refund ,.company policy etc etc, no acknowledgement of the amount of my time this company has wasted on the second weekend with the 3rd missed delivery. Feel it would have been a fair outcome if they gave me 1/2 my money back but no, not to be be.

Would not recommend this company the tracking driver function didn't work for me, What's app messages appear to me that they may be AI generated, when things go wrong company is not responsive, hides behind company policy line and I honest feel they haven't treated me fairly.

Cannot recommend this company.

I don't like to do bad reviews, but considering this put my health in jeopardy, I think is only fair.

As I feared, The movers started complaining immediately after they arrived because some items were too heavy. I followed all the directions I was given via phone, and I specifically asked them during a video call if the items where ok, and if I needed to empty the small ones. I had to speak on the phone with customer service which almost caused me a panic attack because they were asking for more money etc. They didn't bring anything to cover or secure my items, which caused loads of scratches and damage. My mattress was loaded on a dirty van without any kind of protection, which is disgusting. I wish they had told me I had to provide those, even tho is unacceptable that they don't provide any covering, it should be basic. I had to leave 2 minutes before them because I had to catch the bus to meet them to the other house, because they said they couldn't wait for me there. They left my door wide open and just left, I still had some valuables in there, luckily no one walked in and I only realised 3 hours later when I went back to pick up the last bits. When we got to the new house, they took all the pieces from the bed first filling up the room where everything was meant to go.. I asked them to build the bed first so we could put the boxes in the room, but they refused saying they had to unload everything first. so, no space for boxes etc was left in my room. they dumped everything in the leaving room, 1 floor down to where everything was supposed to go, then put the bed together and left. I am disabled and I had to carry everything upstairs by myself, I almost fainted on the stairs and was severely ill for days after that huge physical effort.. I paid a service to avoid this, and I still had to do it anyway. The whole time they looked very annoyed, Like they were making me a favour.
This is unacceptable for the money I paid; I expected the professional service that they promised on the phone. Stupid me that I left them convince me not cancel. I like to think the best of people all the time, but I was clearly right in my original mistrust of this company, and I'll make sure to let everyone I know what my experience was.
I've been fighting for 6 months to get some kind of compensation, and they have been doing everything in their power to avoid it.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.

This review is an accurate explanation of what we experienced. it had to be revised for the third time as Anyvan complained very quickly about the content of the previous two and trust pilot removed them both, seriously what's the point of posting reviews especially if negative to assist other users. if they get taken down, it does make rather a mockery of the system if the only reviews you can post are positive.

I normally like to do positive reviews when warranted, but when receiving a service this disappointing I feel its only fare to give an explanation, all be it a heavily edited version, as to why I gave 1 star,

Initially they were very good on the phone when we were arranging the move, and from the initial phone call you truly believed that they have their act together. but sadly on the day of the move it very quickly became apparent that they were not what we had expected, and to be honest, to us it was all very disappointing.

They charged us on the day for 2 extra boxes but 3 of the 20 originally purchased were not used and were left on the van, so don't know why the additional charge of £40 was requested.

We originally purchased 100 meters of bubble wrap at time of booking, they used less than about 5 meters and did not leave what was left of the roll even though we had paid for it,
Most things just thrown in the boxes and not wrapped.
Only items wrapped were 3 small TVs. and not very well either.
The mirrors and fragile items were not wrapped at all.

They were Advised at time of booking that the retirement block, even though it had a working lift on site, they could not use it for furniture movement as it only holds 6 people and cannot be left out of use for the residents, there was no mention of this being a problem or any mention of additional charges at the time of the original booking phone call, we also clearly stated this on the forms that we had to complete and return to them.

Once onsite at the new address, and after they almost damaged the main entrance automatic door to the building by moving a big plant pot to prop it open, and then having to endured the wrath of the site manager, the movers obviously by this point were not at all happy, and then contacted their office about the lift not being available to them even though they knew weeks ahead of the move that this was the situation and it was not a problem at the time of the initial booking, they then Charged us an additional £160 then and there before emptying the van, because of this, we were effectively held to ransom as we needed his items moved into the flat, so had no choice but to pay over the phone. so already £200 in addition charges on the move day we were not expecting that were unwarranted additions, moving is stressful enough without being put in that position.

Overall the move was not carried out with to us any great care or compassion.
We felt we had been held to ransom over the extra charges as we needed everything removed from the van, into to the flat. We also felt that my father was taken advantage of with the unnecessary additional charges, as he is 83 years old with Alzheimer’s and dementia and very vulnerable.

Initially after the move we had complained, they were ignoring our emails and it took a rather scathing original review on here to get their attention which it definitely did, as they had it removed. So I wrote another review, that I also again had re-revised, would you believe it that was also removed as well.

They have now refunded the £200 in extra charges, so I can`t fault them for that, I have re written this review for the third time now removing a lot more of what was in the original two that they complained about and had taken down, so I am hoping that this one will be left in place by trust pilot as I'm beginning to feel they are deliberately removing them. I am entitled to post a negative review. it is neither rude or defamatory, but it is definitely warranted as the service we were led to believe we were going to receive, did not materialize, and made the whole day far more stressful than it needed to be.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with AnyVan and would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking.

From the outset, the whole situation felt incredibly unprofessional and, at times, like a scam. Communication was unclear, expectations were not properly managed, and the service delivered did not match what had been promised.

The removal team arrived approximately four hours later than scheduled, which immediately caused significant stress and disruption. When they did arrive, it was clear the removal men were inexperienced and underqualified. The move took far longer than it should have because of their lack of competence.

To make matters worse, the drivers were speaking in a foreign language to each other throughout the job while a woman was alone in the property, which created an uncomfortable and unsettling atmosphere during what is already a stressful situation.

I raised a formal complaint about the delay, the poor standard of service, and the distress caused. The response I received was dismissive and rude. I was told the company does not compensate for distress, which gives the impression that customer care is not a priority and that the focus is purely financial. Despite the circumstances, only £50 was offered as redress, which feels completely disproportionate given the four-hour delay and overall poor service.

To add further frustration, the refund that was eventually processed took almost 10 days to come through.
Overall, this was nothing short of a shameless shambles, late arrival, inexperienced crew, poor complaint handling, and a drawn-out refund process. A very disappointing experience from start to finish.

Poor Communication, Early Collection, Overcharging & Storage Issues

Very disappointing experience from start to finish.

Before booking, I emailed three times to confirm whether I needed to be physically present at the storage unit. No one responded. Later, customer service told me I had to be there because I booked a one-person delivery — despite their own terms stating customers only need to be “present or represented.” This caused unnecessary stress and confusion.

They then collected 1.5 hours earlier than the agreed time slot (11:30 instead of the confirmed window). Had they collected at the agreed time, I would not have incurred additional costs. I had to pay £26 for a taxi purely because of their early arrival.

I was also charged £46 for “additional items” with no itemised invoice or explanation. The receipt simply showed £46. Only after I formally complained did they admit this charge was incorrectly listed and agree to refund it.

In addition, I stored my belongings with them and had to continuously chase to receive information they had already guaranteed (including promised discounts). I was never proactively given clear details about my storage unit despite multiple requests. Communication was consistently poor and reactive.

Overall issues:
• Ignored pre-booking emails
• Contradictory information from customer service
• Collection outside agreed time slot
• Additional charge applied without proper breakdown
• Storage information not provided despite repeated requests
• Promised discounts requiring repeated chasing

For the price charged, the service was not worth it. I would not use this service again.

I was moving an antique grandfather clock. The guys who picked it up had no idea what they were picking up. They didn't seem to know how to handle it. They stuffed it in the back of the van. When they arrived to deliver it they dragged it across the floor. I would use these guys to move a fridge but I would never use them again to move anything of value. Their motto is 'we move anything anywhere' but the reality is that you aren't set up for anything which requires any delicacy.
