The UX is truly terrible. But that's not the worst. What's even worse, is their service. They removed my credits before the day was over (and they were actually due). And then, when you try to reach their customer service, you don't get any further than a stupid chatbot that does nothing but upset you even more.

Bye Apollo, I will look

Most negative reviews here are true - I have also faced problem with them on credits and they cheat

Most negative reviews here are true - I have also faced problem with them on credits and they cheat you to the core - no proper support team - no one in their team knows answer for the questions related to their own product or dashboard.

companies like this are not tech companies - just some scamsters disguised in the same as Tech.

Frustrating Experience with AI Credits System

I’ve been a user for years and have never encountered anything like this situation. My recent experience with the AI credits system has been completely unacceptable. I created a sales sequence weeks ago and briefly tested an AI opener, which I removed right away, then rewrote the entire sequence manually. I’ve been using and optimizing that sequence without issues since. Recently, I found that the platform started deducting AI credits every time I attempted to edit or save the sequence, despite having no AI content in it—only my own plain text. After spending hours with the support team, I learned that because the sequence was initially created with AI, it is permanently flagged as AI-generated. This implies: Every variable is considered “AI” Every edit consumes AI credits Once credits are depleted, changes can’t be saved There’s no way to unflag or revert it back to a standard sequence Support is unable to resolve it Engineering claims “can’t change it” The suggested solution?
“Recreate the whole sequence from scratch.” However: You lose all contacts in the sequence You lose all step history You lose tracking, optimization data, and performance context You have to manually re-stage every contact You must redo weeks of work due to an internal flag you weren’t warned about Moreover, the platform fails to clearly inform users that testing AI even once can permanently affect the sequence. There’s no warning that this will lead to continuous credit usage or make the sequence nearly uneditable without incurring additional charges. Support eventually cloned the sequence to remove the AI flag, but the clone did not include any of my contacts or progress, forcing me to start over operationally. This isn’t a minor UX issue; it’s a significant product design flaw that: Punishes users retroactively for trying a feature Wastes paid credits without delivering real value Disrupts ongoing workflows Erases historical data and tracking Offers no recovery or rollback options It genuinely feels like a dark pattern aimed at draining credits and pushing upgrades. While the support team was courteous and did their best, the underlying system is evidently flawed. The absence of: A complaint form An escalation path An engineering override A credit refund An internal fix
…is shocking for a company of this size. If you depend on sequences for revenue, steer clear of the platform’s AI features. You might inadvertently compromise your workflow and end up paying for credits you’re not even utilizing. I am now actively exploring alternatives.

Frustrating Changes After Years of Use

I have been using this service for over 3 years, and while it wasn't perfect, at least I could manage the prospecting settings effectively. Now, there's an unjustified price hike with a significant reduction in credits—from 10,000 a month down to 2,500. This is simply outrageous. To make matters worse, they are introducing unnecessary features while removing the essential ones. How can a B2B intelligence platform lack work history for prospects? This needs to improve. I'm currently seeking a better alternative; I can't endure this stress any longer.

Unacceptable Conduct from the Team

The company and their team have engaged in behavior that raises serious concerns. Services were initially promised to the client, but the terms were later altered from what was originally communicated. This approach is misleading and unacceptable.

Clunky

Clunky, laggy, unclear “credit” system, just overall not worth using over other prospecting platforms

There are much better alternatives.

Save yourselves the headache and switch to something faster. If you don't mind having 1 tab taking almlost 2GB of RAM then this is for you. Apollo has been nothing but a resource heavy, laggy program. Does it help find leads? Yes. Does it send emails? Yes. Does the UX make you want to throw your laptop out the window? ABSOLUTELY.Date of experience is over the past year.

Great value and customer support

As a business owner I’m always looking for value and great ROI. Apollo provides all that. And the customer support has been great so far as well. From what I see, Apollo is a very well thought out and managed product/service.
