Booked with Apple for 3 adults in Mexico for 10 days. Called Apple directly to request that we have 2 beds and also a ground floor because I’m a senior with mobility issues. Arrived at hotel and was told Apple NEVER forwarded our requests! I went to speak with the Apple rep at the hotel to help with the situation. He told me he does not help with issues but only ther to sell excursions!! I needed to talk to Apple directly, which I did and heard nothing!!! Our friends also booked thru Apple and had the same issue! It seems Apple doesn’t care once you book your trip! Not what Apple use to represent in the past! Not sure if I’d ever use Apple again!! I do have our itinerary number if needed!
This company's website booking system is so out of date. It would not let me add travel insurance to all of the group. Only insured the person who was listed on each room. When trying to make any changes and move dates for the people not insured due to co-vid they then lost all money on the trip. Waiting to speak on the phone to agents took at minimum an hour each time I interacted with them. You are better off to book your flight yourself and the hotel yourself and shave off the 20-30% apple makes off you booking through them. The only service apple provides is transportation to the resort which you can easily acquire yourself for a reasonable rate.
I would give zero star if I could. Booked a trip for 12/18/22-12/23/22. I had to modify the names due to daughter and grandson not being able to go. Apple failed to inform the resort about the modifications so at the time of check out at the resort I had to fork over $1700. Never could get in touch with Apple. Was placed on eternal hold. Apple is still “working “ on the issue. Resort not only got my $1700 but they were also paid by Apple. I will NEVER book with Apple again!
Had a wonderful Christmas trip to Vegas set up with the family. A few weeks before the trip my father's health began to fade. We had to cancel the trip. The apple vacations representative told us that the travel credits and vouchers were fully transferable to anyone on the original booking. However when we went to transfer the credits to the one family member that had the ability to travel they said only the persons portion of the voucher could be redeemed and that only the original people on The trip could use Said credits. Meaning less than a quarter of the 3 grand was redeemable. We tried to explain that the trip was canceled due to my fathers failing health and they gave no concern. It was ended with not even a sorry just a, "that is not possible.". Do not ever uses this crummy company. They put their profits before even a hint of positive customer service. They have no heart and their empathy is that of a robot. I hope the currently beginning recession kills them off so they can't extract any more money from good and honest people like my family.
Travel agent booked out 30th anniversary through Apple Vacations. Everything the travel agent did was spectacular without exception. Apple's delivery on their part...not so much. They did arrange travel to the hotel from the airport and that is where they stopped. No recognition of our anniversary, no contact by any representatives once we were at the hotel, and we had to have the hotel Concierge call and arrange for our transportation to the airport for departure. Not sure what was wrong, but we literally had no contact with Apple during our entire stay. This is not how it usually goes. Usually there is a get together, a luncheon, maybe a bottle of rum sent to our room, but this time, nothing!
25 years I have been with Apple Vacations. I book a trip to Cancun in March for October 13-17 for our sons 21st birthday…. So this is what happened. In June got a email stating our hotel was getting some renovations done so they were going to put us in another hotel which was a lower end of the brand we booked. They stated they would compensate us with with 4 nights at original hotel. ( vouchers that were good for 1 year) we just had to pay for flights. Seems fair. 15 days before we leave I get a email saying our flight are canceled. However we can book this other flight for 3000 dollars more. The new fights are not direct and have long layovers that did work for us. Our original flight were direct both ways. To book this trip on our end was very difficult. I had to fly in town from work to fly out with family. We bought my sons girl friend a passport for her birthday so she could go with us. They had to get off school and our twin daughters had to get permission to get out of school for the missed days. Ugh I was on the phone for over 5 hours and they wouldn’t do anything except a refund. I pleaded with them to help out even saying we could do a different tropical destination .Nope. Spoke with a manger (Manuel )asked to speak to his boss/ manager and he kept talking in circles . He was a dick and absolutely no help. Basically said tuff sh$$ Wow great customer service. Apple you disappointed like no other. You should be ashamed doing business practices like this. This is the treatment I get for be loyal for 25 years! Outstanding work guys. Thanks for ruining my son’s 21st birth and family trip. I’m sure you will never read this I just hope this helps fellow passengers to think twice about booking with this ROTTEN APPLE 🍎 OF A COMPANY! On 3/30/2022 I found a travel vacation website Apple Vacation and wanted to book a travel package. I booked a package for $2,771.09 which included 7 day all inclusive resort plus airfare. When selecting the flights, I selected a non stop, main cabin ticket. I work for an airline company and I knew I did not want a basic economy ticket because this type of ticket doesn't allow for seat selection and you're forced to wait at the gate the day of travel for airline to select any available seat for you. You risk not have a seat the day you show up. I paid extra to ensure I was going to have a seat once confirmed. Once I submitted my payment, Apple sent me a confirmation and I quickly discovered there was no ability to select seats on the airliners website. Once I spoke to a represented of the airline they told me it was not a main cabin ticket, rather a basic economy ticket and Apple downgraded my ticket automatically. The pulled the bait and switch technique. I wasn't happy about this but I still wanted to take the vacation. I figured I would pay more with the airliner for a Main Cabin Extra ticket, which was the only thing available to ensure I had a seat and I would contact apple vacations asking for a credit of the difference. Many of these dishonest travel websites will do this to consumers. You buy one thing and you end up with something total different. They force you to purchase insurance in order to cancel in the event something goes wrong with your travel plans. But, this wasn't a case of me not being able to travel, it was them not providing me a seat for which I paid extra to confirm. Other websites like Expedia.com give you the option to cancel with 24 hours without any charges or penalties and issue a full refund. This website does not offer that, in fact when you cancel with the airline within 24 hours, there is no penalty so I don't know why they wouldn't do the right thing by the consumer. So, in attempt to keep my money and offer me a travel credit, they denied me a refund even when I have a valid claim. Apple Vacations was in breech of their own contract. When I contacted them directly they offered no support. The employees waste your time on the phone and it took 45 minutes to cancel the reservation. I spoke to a Melissa Morell that lied directly to the consumer. She didn't tell me that anything could be done but in fact told me she would escalate to the department that would handle disputes only to email me back after getting off the phone to tell me there is nothing they can do and I was stuck with my reservation. An all inclusive resort in a foreign country is not going to care if you arrive on time or not. By Apple booking me a basic economy ticket, I risk arriving at the airport and not having a seat and the airliner rerouting me around the country with connections in order to get me to my destination or even worse rebooking me on the next flight the next day. They only had one flight per day. At that point, there is no guarantee the resort will hold my reservation for the next day which would mean I could lose an entire day of being at the resort. They didn't seem to care at all and came up with different excuses according to the Better Business Bureau responses. They blamed the airliner. I don't know how websites like this are able to sell something the airliners don’t have and then downgrade their passengers and get away with it. They stopped responding to my messages on the BBB. I asked for their company headquarters address so I can file a formal complaint with the courts and hire an attorney. According to their terms and agreement, if there are any major changes to the reservation, they have to notify me either electronically or by mail and I would have 7 days days to cancel in writing. The images attached will show the difference between Basic Economy and Main Cabin. It will also show Main Cabin as my ticket selection. Again, I work for an airline company and I know I exactly how ticketing works and what tickets you wanna avoid if you want them to assign you a seat at the gate. There is no guarantee you will actually get a seat.
I CONTACTED APPLE VACATIONS---BAD IDEA THEUY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE EVEN AFTER THEY SAY THEY WILL CALL YOU BACK THEIR PHONE SEVICE IS VERY POOR--YOU EITHER CANNOT HEAR THEM OR THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON VOICE BREAKS UP EVEN WHEN THE FEW TIM ES THEY ANSWER I HAVE TOLD BY FRIENDS WHEN SOMEONE DOES ANSWER THE AGENT ASKS ALL KINDS OF QUESTION AND THEN HAS TO TRANSFER YOU TO ANOTHER AGENT
We booked with them months in advance. I purchased ins. (Always) We watched the weather for our resort and it was going to be awful the entire week . So I call 14 days prior and asked to completely change direction to a new resort. The CSR was more than happy to help. The resort I chose was a tad more but that’s fine as long as the weather was great. Went smooth as glass. We always use Apple. The past 8 Years with absolutely no issues what so ever. Thank you Apple.
