Review Time
My wife and I booked a trip to the Hard Rock in Cabo through Apple Vacations. The trip was all paid in full well ahead of time. When we arrived at the Hard Rock, they had no record of our reservation. Hard Rock stated it was an issue with Apple Vacations. We spent 2+ hours in the lobby, on hold and back and forth with the Apple Vacations representative and the Hard Rock front desk. I finally convinced the Hard Rock to get us a room and had to put an $800+ deposit for the room for one night. Both parties, Apple Vacations and the Hard Rock figured it would be resolved by the next day. I left the resort the next morning and my wife went to get a coffee and came back to the room and was locked out. She went to the front desk and was told to wait in lobby, as the Hard Rock was still working with Apple Vacations on a resolution. She finally convinced the Hard Rock to let her back into the room (where all our stuff was.) I arrived, early afternoon, and called Apple Vacations. Again on hold, back and forth with the Apple representative and the Hard Rock front desk people for another hour or so. They finally resolved the situation and provided nothing for the issue. I have since e-mailed Apple Vacations and requested a refund for one night of our trip. They stated that it will take 21-35 days to respond. It is now 21 days later, no response yet. As I have seen by others, I would rate Apple Vacations with ZERO stars. Absolutely some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I have paid a travel agent last year for a trip my trip is 4 weeks away and her phone is disconnected, I have no itinerary no nothing. Reach out to Apple Vacations they are no help because they said they need to speak with travel agent before they can do anything. Have can you reach out to her and her phone is disconnected!
I have booked thru Apple several times without issue. I have been undecided about which property I would like to stay at. Searched their site yesterday and the trips I was looking at were $1500 to $2000 range per person (I travel quite a bit, and this is expected). I go to search today and the SAME trips are $6,000 to $10,000 per person! Do they think I am that stupid, and I do not know any better and would actually book at that disgustingly over-inflated price? The clincher here is I searched on my phone, and prices quoted per person were in the $1500 to $2000 range. I really have a problem with sites that track you, and then try and take advantage of you like this. Seems like they need specifically to work on the integrity of their business. This is a sure-fire way to lose loyal customers (remember the old adage - it is much easier to keep the customers that you have than to try and attract new ones to take their place). If I could give the experience a zero, I would do so.
Terrible. Upgraded to a private shuttle to and from the airport, got to the airport, no shuttle. We were there waiting for 2hrs and then put onto a bus with people from other resorts. One tour we booked didn’t match the description, but it was fine. Decided to pass on the other tour and was told I would not be refunded because it was too close to the reservation time… I called the day prior and no one answered and their people at the resort are rarely around when you need them, don’t even have laptops (they work off their cellphones) or any of your reservation information. Will not recommend and will never use them again.
Tried to contact Apple Vacations twice during my vacation. Received prompt email noting that they had received my message but never actually got a response from them. Apple uses Swift Air as their charter. Waited for over a hour on departing flight in line to get boarding pass and over two hours on return trip. Counter was very poorly staffed. Also had very poor experience texting customer support, consistently replied with what seemed were canned responses and never really answered my questions. Will not use Apple again, only reason I did this time is they offered a direct flight to my destination.
This is the worst resort I have ever stayed at. In spite of the high price I paid for this vacation. It is NOT worth the money and I will never book Apple vacations again or any related properties.I paid a lot of money for a 4 day vacation yet they charge an additional $100 a day for the “ preferred” pool area.The so-called beach is just some gravel- like sand on a small lagoon with no waves and lots of people in it. I’m sure it is filthy and full of bacteria.My room when I arrived was freezing. They sent someone twice to try to raise the temperature but finally they just had to turn it completely off. They are supposed to give me another room at 3 pm today .If I didn’t pay almost $3000 for this so called vacation, I would leave. Very very disappointed in Apple vacations. DO NOT book through Apple vacations. We went on a group trip to Mexico last week for a friend’s wedding. A few days before we were supposed to leave we noticed an ice storm moving into Dallas (where we would be catching our connecting flight) so we decided we wanted to leave a day earlier to avoid any cancellations that may occur. We were originally set to leave Tuesday but on Sunday night decided we wanted to leave Monday morning instead. Unfortunately because we had booked through apple vacations we weren’t able to contact the airport or the resort directly. Everything we did HAD to go through apple. Even more unfortunate is that this travel agency has literal BANKING HOURS. 9-5 Monday-Friday. Who exclusively travels during these times? They said they would check on the flight first thing when they opened Monday morning. Which was at 9:00. Which was what time the flight we were hoping to catch departed. Since they could be of absolutely no help we ended up having to stick with the originally plan and leave Tuesday. As suspected, all of our flights were delayed, delayed some more, and cancelled. They were of no help through the entire day spent at the airport trying to get a new flight. When we finally arrived in a Mexico a day late, we decided we wanted to extend our vacation since we had missed out on a full day. Once again, no help. They told us that we would be in charge of figuring everything out by ourselves. We had already missed a day of vacation due to their incompetence and now they were telling us it was our responsibility to do recon while we were trying to enjoy what little was left of our vacation. I don’t know what the point of using a travel agency is if they are never open and useless in emergency situations. The whole point of using a travel agency is to create less stress on vacation. Working with apple vacations certainly caused nothing BUT stress. Do yourself a favor and book your own vacation. At least you know you can depend on yourself.
NEVER EVER book your vacation through Apple. You’d be better off booking it all by yourself considering the amount of help they offer which is ZERO. My friends and I booked a group trip to Mexico for our friend’s wedding and we had an absolute nightmare experience with this travel agency. Our flights were cancelled and moved around due to bad weather in our connecting city and Apple vacations was completely USELESS in the rebooking process. We had to do everything ourselves. We had to pay for our own hotel rooms when our flight got cancelled. We had to pay additional money for a shuttle, ferry, and taxi when we had to fly into mainland Cancun instead of the island Cozumel. And we had to organize it all ourselves. Our vacation, once we finally got there after 30 hours of travel, was not even relaxing because we were on the phone CONSTANTLY trying to get apple to refund us for the days of our trip we missed, all the extra transportation, and get them to extend our trip an extra day to make up for the days missed. No help whatsoever. We had to do everything ourselves. The resort, airlines, and transport services said they couldn’t help us with anything because we booked through Apple and Apple had to make changes. But when we tried to talk to Apple they never answered half the time because they are open BANKING HOURS 9-5 WEEKDAYS??? When MOST people travel on the weekends! Ridiculous! When we finally got a hold of them they told us they couldn’t do anything and we had to contact the hotels, airlines, etc. Individually. It was back and forth like this for three days. By the time our vacation was almost over we finally got our trip extended NO thanks to Apple AT ALL. We did everything ourselves. And now we still have to file a bunch of insurance claims to try to get our money back from all the cancelled flights and extra transport costs to get there. I will NEVER use Apple Vacations to book my trip again. It was the worst travel experience I’ve ever had in my life. To think all this could have been avoided if they would have let us reschedule our flight in advance when we saw the weather coming. But that was on a Sunday and they aren’t open on the weekends! Every time we tried to call about a new flight they would be closed and wouldn’t open until 9 the next business day! That’s when our new flight left!!! I just can’t believe a company who claims to be a travel agency would be this utterly useless at organizing vacations and would be closed in the evenings and on the weekends! It makes me furious. And thanks to their total lack of involvement in the vacation that THEY got a percentage of for our booking, we had to rearrange EVERYTHING ourselves while we were trying to relax on the beach that we paid $3000+ for!! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER EVER EVER! I will happily post this review on any site that allows me. No one deserves to have their vacation ruined the way we did!!
If I could give 0 stars, I would! My sister booked with Apple. I’ve been trying to pay my share with my card 5 times. The payment will not go through. My credit card company says they have never rejected an Apple purchase. I have been on hold 5 different times for over an hour. Last time transferred to a manager and the phone went dead. Ridiculous!I’m afraid to even go on this vacation…
