I just want to throw my two cents in on this.I just purchased an Autel MP808S-TS.So just to be clear, these are from China, sold from (mostly, if it says so in the listing) UK warehouses. But these all come from China anyway, so it's not a clone, its not a fake. It's technically a grey import. Mine came with UK plugs and UK markings throughout, language default to English. I made sure I purchased a "Global" IP location unlocked version.So in case you were unaware of what a grey import is. Basically your cutting out the middle man. By bypassing the European distributors, support and resellers. You're saving a lot of money on a genuine item, but be aware, you will not receive support from Autel Europe. However Autelstore (China) have been exceptional in supporting me with this scanner. With hardware, refunding, technical support, and membership issues. I have no complaints.So, like I said in the title, you have to be vigilant and read all the details under the device you are looking to buy. I made a mistake in my first order.I initially bought an MP808S-TS and then had to cancel it and buy a MP808S-TS... the difference, one was running Android 4.4 on a slow processor, the other, Android 11 on a faster processor. I think the price difference was around £30 or so.So pay attention to the details in the specs, they're all accurate and unique to the individual listing. Make sure you get a "global" or IP unlocked version, this is clearly indicated. This will avoid registration and membership issues.The device I received registered and updated with no issues at all, very straightforward. The only snag I had, was that my membership with Autel showed expiration after one year. The listing said two years free updates. I messaged Autelstore.co.uk about this and they got back to me within a day, asking for the serial number on my scanner, they sorted the membership issue the following day. Now my expiration shows 2025. Perfect.I was nervous going with Autelstore.co.uk at first, because I know you can't save this much money on something like this without a big catch somewhere. But from the scanner itself, to the pre sale and after sale service received from Autelstore.co.uk, I have absolutely no regrets, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, if you have a suitable appetite for risk.My refund for the first scanner was processed immediately. I asked to cancel the order 45 mins after placing it, when I realised my mistake. I think they have a 5 hour cut off on cancellations. If you read the terms, it is clear that if you need to send anything back to them, it will be to China. So it pays to do your research before buying.I apologise this was such a long review, I just think these companies are getting some bad press, when I have nothing but good things to say. Hopefully it has answered some questions for anyone like me who is thinking about buying a decent scanner.
