The company has inventory in the UK, but when my scanner (under warranty) developed a hardware fault causing green lines on the screen, I was told it must be sent to Shenzhen for repair. I have to pay both outbound and return shipping. They also instructed me to declare the parcel value as USD 79 and send it untracked to avoid import tax. If the parcel is lost, I would lose most of the £300 I paid for the scanner. This feels unfair and misleading, and I hope others see this to avoid ending up in the same situation.UPDATE - To clarify for other buyers: my issue is not about delivery speed or warranty length. It is about how a warranty repair is handled once a fault occurs.I purchased from a seller trading as AutelStore UK. When a hardware fault developed under warranty, I was told I must:• Pay to ship the device internationally to China• Accept the risks and delays of overseas shipping• Follow customs instructions that included undervaluing the itemUnder UK consumer law, warranty repairs must be provided at no cost to the consumer and without significant inconvenience. Requiring a customer to pay international return shipping and send a faulty product overseas does not meet that standard.Whether this process is described as “standard procedure” by the manufacturer does not change the seller’s legal responsibility to UK consumers.I am sharing my experience so other buyers can make an informed decision about after-sales support, not to keep anything private.I stand by my review.
