Great help from start to finish with Jonathan from AVADO, even when I was outside the UK during the Christmas break, I was kept informed at all times about the progress of my application, for which I am really grateful. Thank you!
My experience with Avado has not been good at all. I enrolled with them for a course beginning in October 2021 but due to my fathers passing from Covid-19 I felt I couldn't cope or continue with the course or even with my job anymore Unfortunately I was 3 days passed the 14 day cancellation date when I called up to discuss my issue with Student Support Services. The lady I spoke with who was extremely pleasant, professional and supportive put me on hold while she checked with her supervisor who agreed that due to the tragic circumstances that I could cancel the course and receive a full refund for my employer and that she would begin the refund process. I have an email confirmation of this. 4 weeks passed and no refund had yet been paid to my employer so I called student support services again. I spoke with a gentleman this time who was also very pleased and professional and he handled my issue exactly the same way, he checked with his supervisor and on previous correspondence, and he too came back with a guarantee that the refund was being allowed because of my circumstances and that he would expedite payment. He even apologised to me for the delay. Again I have another email confirmation of this. So after another 4 weeks me and my employer have been informed in a very insensitive email that we are not getting a refund because I was 3 days passed the 14 day limit (even though I was dealing with the passing of my father), their email explained that their staff at student support services were incorrect with how they handled the issue and should not have agreed to the refund - so both the two people I spoke with and their two supervisors were incorrect, that's a lot of Avado support staff who were incorrect. I am devastated by this latest email as I had assumed due to the confirmation emails that the refund to my employer was guaranteed, I had therefore made the decision to give up my job and take time to deal with the loss of my father and the intense grief which goes with that loss. They've offered my employer the chance to enrol another member of staff onto a course within 6 months which is not viable to them as it's a small company with no other staff member available to take part in a cours. As no refund is being made, I now have to consider remaining in my job so I can repay my employer the course fee, even though my mental health is at risk due to my grief.I accept I was 3 days passed the 14 day notice period but it was extenuating circumstances and I cannot believe it's taken almost 10 weeks to end up at such a U-turn decision. I would never use Avado again nor would I recommend them to anyone after how they have dealt with my issue, I'm actually disgusted with their latest email and the lack of empathy.
Really great training program. I did level 3 CIPD with them and have plans to do level 5 with them. Everything is very easy to set up/get started with very helpful advisors on hand (shout out to Andrew Brine). The course modules are well thought through and well delivered with tutors on hand to help you out with any queries or assistance you may need. Part way through my level 3 I had a short break due to mental health reasons which my tutor was very supportive through and I was able to pick up straight after like I never left.
I enrolled on a Level 4 Data Analytics Apprenticeship with Arch Apprentices in April 2019.After a forgettable experience with the training provider, in July 2020 I was made redundant from my employer and apprenticeship sponsor. My planned date for EPA was September 2020. It is now December 2021 and I have still not sat EPA.When I started a new job in February this year, Arch Apprentice's Finance and Audit team failed to send across a Commitment Statement upon my starting this new job. Roll on September 2021 (SIX months later), I still had no idea this document even existed, and was days away from being kicked off the scheme, more than a year after I was meant to finish it. This was entirely down to oversight on behalf of Arch Apprentices. It is nearly fifteen months since my original planned EPA date. That's almost the entire length of the course, again. I regret that I contributed to that delay in part. However, the fact that during a difficult time in which I lost my job, suffered with deteriorating mental health which saw me in and out of hospital, the lack of support I received from Arch was crushing. I'm primarily referring to my Learning and Development Coach, who would regularly go weeks without so much as checking in and failed to inform me, both of any cost of EPA to be placed on my new employer and of the requirement to take five days' holiday for my synoptic project (it was July 2021, more than five months after I began my new role that I was informed of this). Then, in November 2021 I attend my EPA interview, to which I forgot to bring photo ID. I've since been told that this ninety minute time slot costs over a thousand pounds to book with a freelance provider, and that my new employer must cough up £300 to cover it. This comes after the blatant neglect of my learning, and lack of regard for the outcome of my education. Finally, there is the refusal of any team member I have had contact with to take responsibility for the collective failings of the company, which leaves me now feeling like I've been grossly mistreated, and that you now want me out of the door as soon as possible - and at this point I'm more than willing to oblige.
It was a great opportunity to take this course after months of hesitating. A call from Ms. Mona (the course advisor) could help me to take the decision and take this step.in this course, the study materials, payment plans and course plans were well designed. however, I would like to mention the following points for improvement purposes.1- lack of experience and information sharing and interaction during the course.2- very busy tutors.3- some tutors started the unit with us and went for leave at the same time (at the beginning of the unit).4- tutors change foe every unit.5- there was some Variation in marking some assignments, as I compered my answers with other student and we were given different feedback in terms of requirements.6- some tutors read the topics.7- unfair certificates distribution, were some of us received there certificates a month prior the others.other than that, I would like to thank all my tutors, supportive students and course advisor for the support.
I am appreciative of the fast response within a day as promised by the Student Success Team. Andre was quick in explaining in detail the milestone that I had overlooked as I explained that I couldn't access that section of the module. The team was gracious in giving me time to complete it and follow up with me thereafter. It gave me the calmness and motivation to do well for the course.
December 2021- 3CO04 - Tutor - Anna Pang.I was a little apprehensive about completing my learning on-line originally. I researched other companies but from the off Avado engaged me. Rachel Hyde was particularly clear and concise about what I would 'get for my money'. If there’s anybody cut out for the job of on-line tutor then it’s Anna Pang. She was really friendly, she was also clear and thorough in her explanations of the assignments so we knew exactly what was expected of us, she always got back to me really promptly with constructive feedback (always with a smiley, reassuring face :-)) and nothing has ever been too much trouble for her. She has a way of keeping you calm and focused even though I sometimes have a tendency to panic. Although I didn’t attend all of the tutor sessions in real time, I ALWAYS watched the recordings back and found them massively helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Avado to all of my friends and colleagues, largely due to Anna. Thanks again.
