I was recommended Avado as a learning provider for CIPD and it definitely lived up to my expectations. My onboarding was swift and clear, as was the instructions to join and use the learning platform. The delivery team were very clear, super helpful as are the internal support team when I needed to defer due to personal circumstances. Comms are frequent, succinct and clear, I am in no doubt as to where I stand, what is coming up and due.
I have just finished my apprenticeship and my learning mentor Krutika couldn't have been more supportive through the whole process. She gave me lots of valuable guidance through regular catch-ups which allowed me to achieve a top grade.
It took me a long time to understand how to navigate the website but I liked how the learning was presented.My work was marked on a few occasions by one marker that I deemed as very harsh, especially when I compared it with my colleagues' feedback. Until Anna marked my work I was never given any constructive feedback or positive encouragement so I felt very disheartened and wasn't sure what was expected of me which de-motivated me in the following assessments. In one of the tasks I was failed on a certain activity but was not given any feedback so was not sure what I had to do. My tutor, Anna, was a great help with this as she read my work and helped me to understand the requirements. The most common feedback I received was to meet all of the extra 10% wordcount, this was frustrating as I was always within the extra 10% anyway and always had to cut down and edit my words before submitting. Furthermore, it did not seem as though my complaints about this feedback were listened to.On a better note, I appreciated Anna's teaching style and how she was approachable and knowledgeable. She was always happy to help and understanding of how I was feeling. I feel I heave learnt a lot which will help me to progress in my HR career. This is the reason I have not given Avado a lower star score.

I signed up for L5 HR Management back in July 2020 - a course I had wanted to do for a long time and paid for myself after losing my job due to Covid. The course, course materials and tutor were really good. Student success however have been very poor. Firstly, I was registered under the wrong name which took a while to sort. Then, when moving from the certificate to the diploma, it was completely disorganised and I was sent all over the place to get signed up. The online campus went down and I was unable to get my study materials and missed a week of study. No response from student success after emails. When submitting one of the assignments, the upload wouldn’t work and despite repeated calls & emails to student success, they took too long to respond. I completed the course in November 2021 and nearly 4 months later, I am still waiting for the certificate. After countless emails to student success I was eventually advised that my units had been “missed” and I would have another 3-4 week wait for the certificate. I submitted a complaint via their online form 3 days ago, yet still no response. I paid a lot of money for this course and had expected much better service.
I have completed a Level 5 qualification with Avado and have been pleased with the course content, tutor support and assessment process. Having had issues or queries I have found the student support team very helpful and efficient. Having not received my certificate and chasing it up, I found Troy in Student Support was super helpful and investigated quickly. He has resolved the issue that was holding up my certificate and I've been very happy and impressed with the quick turnaround.
