I wish i'd read these reviews before purchasing what appeared to be a beautiful cashmere cardiganfrom Barclay & Bloom for a Black Friday deal of £34.99. It was too good to be true.What arrived in a scrunched up black bag 2 weeks later was a thin polyester jumper with no labels that looked nothing like the one modelled on their website. It's horrific. Wouldn't even wear it as an underlay let alone make it visible.The website states that you have them to email to request a refund & I was offered "a 10% partial refund as a gesture of goodwill". When I politely refused they replied asking me to send it to China wih insurance. Having read these reviews, i've requested a charge back from my bank because it's obvious that Barclay & Bloom won't be refunding me. Do not use this company.
Do not buy from this site , exactly the same as ALL other reviews. Items nothing like photo's , material cheaper than cheap . Sizes not accurate . Returns policy a joke . They can stick a refund where the sun doesn't shine .Even cancelled my card , for fear of being ripped off again . Lesson learnt
When my sweater eventually arrived (and, as the company address was in The Netherlands, I assumed it would be sent from there), it was nothing like the photo in either the fabric or colour. I thought I was getting a warm, cashmere cosy sweater in a rusty brown colour but instead I got a very thin, dirty brown, slightly speckled fabric sweater with no shape. I wrote to complain and ask for a refund. The refund policy states that the buyer pays for returns, which I accepted. However, I was told I could have 10% refunded and keep the sweater. I did not want this and queried their refund policy. I was then told I could have a 20% refund. I queried again and threatened to go public with their ‘hidden refund policy’. The third time I asked reorder a refund I was told I could have a full refund if I returned the sweater to China, which would cost between €20-€40. This time I was offered a 30% refund. Finally I accepted the 30% and have decided to donate the sweater to charity as it would be far less of a hassle and cost me about the same amount. Do not buy from this company. I wish I had read the reviews first - a lesson learnt!
It is a scam company. The description and picture on the website shows a different product from the one arrived. I ordered a supposedly funnel neck cashmere sweater only to receive a flimsy dirty pink thin sweater that is out of shape and shuffled into a rumpled parcel. When I asked for a refund (the website says refund is allowed within 30 days), they forced me to accept 20% refund even though I asked to return it for a full refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
I am not even going to give them 1 star. Wish I had read the reviews first. Ordered a jacket in velvet and it basically looks and smells like a dirty piece of fabric. Its was packed into the smallest piece of plastic for postage ive ever seen. I really hope where this company is they are not exploiting people working there. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. Now I've just got to try and get my money back. This company should be looked into if the reviews are the same
SCAM!!!!!Please stay away from this site. Quality is shocking and they make it impossible to get a refund, I eventually contacted my bank to report that I had been duped into purchasing from a site that did not honour UK consumer rights. I was refunded thankfully. Please don’t make the same stupid mistake
Absolutely awful!!!!!!!Do not buy! What you get is nothing like the photo. I spent £44 on a "supposed to be"offer of a half price jacket at £89.The photo was very convincing but when it arrived it was thinner than a cheap shirt material! The material is not even fit to be a duster.Disgraceful! Do not buy!
Absolutely awful company. Purchases a coat that overall, looked good on the website. When I received it, I was shocked at the poor quality. The item looked nothing like the website. I requested a refund to then be told that they don’t cover shipping costs and I would have to pay €20-€40 euros for it to be returned because they operate out of china. Absolutely awful customer service and product. Do not buy anything from here !
