Purchased a firearm from BassPro and I will not make that mistake again. Not a good place to purchase fire arms. All fire arm sales are final so their customers are left to twist in the wind. Don’t make my mistake, find a real gun dealer to purchase from.

I occasionally shopped at Cabela's before Bass Pro bought them. My wife noticed that I was a bit agitated when I got back in the truck the last time I was there and asked me what was the problem and I said that going into Cabela's was annoying because they have all these zombies with microphones walking around looking over your shoulder, it starts at the door with 10 of em standing there and you can't even look around in any department without someone watching you. Then you are prodded to give your phone number, every one knows they sell the numbers... and they'll tell you how crazy you are for not giving it to them cause it's only for returns etc. I have never been arrested or in jail but I get the general feeling of being in an unfriendly and suspicious environment and believe it or not that's what I feel like in BassPro, its no different than Cabela's was. I have told my kids to stop giving me gift certs from BassPro cause thats the only reason I would go. All their stuff is over priced and half junk. The fish tank and atmosphere were kinda cool the first visit but that wears off quickly.

If you want a company that can get your item ordered a week after you actually order it and get it in store in just over a month.... These are your guys. Nobody can beat this company's mediocrity, so don't even try. Really, and I mean this enthusiastically, they are operating at the pinicle of one star service..... I would say that they are so one star, that other one star companies should feel ashamed at their inability to compete with this titan of useless supply chain managers and CSRs. Brava, Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas. You have set the bar high.

I have also submitted this review directly to Bass Pro shops. It is relating specifically to the Bridgeport Ct. Boating center in that Bass Pro shop. In late 2020 I ordered a brand new Bass Buggy pontoon boat. It was ordered with all the options (mooring cover, trolling motor, fish finder and second battery. The boat came in during the late winter and so I drove the 120 miles to Bridgeport to get it. They were busy and had several people working and when it was time for the boat inspection, they showed me everything and asked if I ever owned a boat before. I have owned multiple boats prior to this and so they felt it was not necessary to start it. At the time I was ok with this thinking that they had already set it up and made whatever adjustments were needed from the factory, plus I have owned inboard and outboards. I drove it home and waited about two months for the weather to break so I could launch it in our lake. After backing the trailer in the water i turned the key to find nothing happened. After spending an hour at the launch and getting nothing, I brought it back home and called Bass Pro. They were unable to send someone up to me to see what was the issue and asked if I could drive it back to Bridgeport (120 miles each way) to leave it because they were too busy with 'other customers' to promise they could get to it if I brought it down. Not wanting to spend two more days driving that far, I found a dealer service center in Amsterdam NY (1.5 hours north of me) and called them. They walked me through several things and I finally discovered the problem was that the shift linkage was out of adjustment and the boat was in gear regardless of where the throttle was. Clearly Bass Pro never even tried to start the boat at the store or they would have identified this issue. But they were perfectly ok sending it out of their shop. I brought the boat north and dropped it off. At that time the repair dealer notified me that the swim ladder that came with the boat was bent and one seat was broken. I have since gotten a recall on all of the seats. They worked to get the replacement seat and ladder and fixed the linkage. They indicated to me that it was clear, no one ever tried to start this boat because this problem would have been fixed. I picked the boat back up and when I got it in the water, the trolling motor battery (option installed by Bridgeport Bass Pro) was dead and would not hold a charge. I called and they asked if I could bring the battery back. Again another 240 miles for a battery? I decided to purchase a new battery on my own rather than deal with them. So after almost $25,000 and traveling just under 500 miles on the road I got my boat started. I am writing this to anyone purchasing a boat because this should never happen. No dealer who sells brand new vehicles should ever let a single vehicle leave without starting it and making sure it works. If they do, then when it does not work, you should do what you can to fix it and not say you are too busy with 'other customers'. Bridgeport Bass Pro should not be at the top of anyones list for spending tens of thousands of dollars on a boat. As far as warranty service, finding another warranty service center who has complete support is the only thing that got my boat in the water.
