Review Time
I started going to the shop in the summer of 2022. There were 2 reasons I chose this shop initially, the great selection of stock and the ability to plays games in store with a great selection of scenery. The 2 reasons I have kept on going is the friendly community, both in Joe who runs the shop and in the other players. The shop always has a great atmosphere and is well worth a visit.
Battleground Gaming is a small, independent store with a fantastic selection of gaming goodies. I've been going there regularly ever since discovering it for the first time a little over a year ago. Joe, the owner, is both passionate and knowledgeable, and always keen to offer help and advice, and there's a thriving community of gamers who meet up to play a variety of games throughout the week. We spent an enjoyable couple of hours there the other night and I'm really looking forward to taking my son along to the next Pokemon League night, and adding to our collections of cards :-)
This place is Tabletop Game madness! Joe is friendly and super helpful with a knowledge that he’s willing to share about all games in the shore. There are areas for multiple genres of games that can be reserved or booked in to play on. If you are looking to get miniatures for your hobby, or a games night or gift - this is the place to go. I have been to many other Wargame shops over the years, but I wouldn’t go anywhere else now.
I have an order with them placed on 10th March and there is no sign of it coming! When I ordered the site said it was in stock. I have tried several times via email and a couple of times by phone ( found online not on their website) to find out what is going on but I have not had a single response. I just want a refund now! I cannot understand why they do not reply to customers questions ! Shocking customer service !
Been hunting down a copy of a specific Kill team box set for weeks and failing everywhere. Eventually landed on these guys. Having been burnt by companies I didn’t recognise before (and for some reason these guys didn’t come up in my weeks of hunting) I took a two hour drive to make sure they actually existed and had stock. While I’ll never make that journey again due to their online store I’m glad I did. The guys were very friendly and welcoming. The store was warm and hobby focussed and I was made to feel welcome as a new customer.
Well, I get here and realise the issue i'm having is a common problem. The numbers don't get answered, the emailed aren't responded to, the one guy who did answer claimed he bought their phone from them and they were busy... Really? I'll be writing to trading standards and the ombudsman also. Been waiting weeks for my order and nothing, all items were in stock and still are on the website. Worst site I've ever used in my life!
Dont order. It will never be dispatched. They wont even bother to give you a refund. Having to chase through paypal. They ignore emails, dont respond to messenger and when they do respond you cant get any proof they sent your item. Just like many of the over reviews, they are conmen. They dont dispatch and have been using the same excuse since before Christmas. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
