Absolutely fantastic experience here, Joe is going out of his way to provie the best experience possible be it gaming or shopping, never had any issues purchasing in store or online over the past few years of using this store and consistently come back due to the general community and help I get here.Would 100% recommend this store in basically any circumstances possible, give the man the support he needs running what is essentially a 3 or 4 person operation by himself.
I place an order on the website, i paid extra for quick 1st class signed for postage, after 2 days there was no update on if the item has been dispatched yet or not so i decide to reach out to them. The best place for this was facebook.I get a response shortly after, explaining that the payment has been flagged up as fraud and that they are unable to send out the item until it has been cleared or a refund will come through.(The payment wasnt fraud, and that could be easily confirmed through emails or a simple phone call) The next day i reach out again, asking for an update on the situation, i got told that they are still awaiting a response, so i patiently waited and asked the next day. This is when i got told that they were unable to verify the payment and that ill be getting a refund.They specified that the refund would take anywhere up to 2-10 days but usually its only a few days. I Agreed and waited a few days.A few days past and i ask for an update, still no refund, dissapointed but i wait a little longer.A few days later my phone gets a notifcation on the "shop" app which tells me the package has actually now been shipped, so in confusion i reach out again.They told me it was strange and they havent seen it before but assured me that i would only be getting the refund and the item was definitly not on its way.Now on the 10th working day. I ask if there is an update as i still have had no refund yet. the simple response was "touchwood" that it arrives today and long story short, it gets to the last day and nothing arrives in the account. At this point i leave a negative review on their facebook page as i was unhappy that it has taken them this long for a refund to come into the account, and they have now had control over my money for over 14 days. I was unhappy and said overall i had a terrible experience.They responded to my review with the most distasteful backhanded attitude i have ever seen. Including the private name which was on the card and billing address on the public review, Also thretening to show the screenshots of the private conversation i had with them to the public, which included banking information on to "see what other people think about the situation" They also lied and said that they told me that the wait would be over 10 days, when they never said that to me at all. When confronting them about the threats and posting of private information, they proceeded to explain that my post was defamation and they would get their solicitors involved. After all of this they end up blocking my account and it seems as though they have currently privated their account on facebook
Battleground Gaming is an amazing place where you can just chill and game to your hearts content. From playing games, to buying models to even getting refreshments. Could not ask for a better gaming place to enjoy what I love most. The owner is also so warm and welcoming, you honestly do feel at home when gaming or purchasing there. Highly recommend. 👍🏻
Absolute garbage. Ordered something 19th Dec and paid the £8 postage in hopes of receiving it before Christmas. Well, not a chance in hell, it’s only just been dispatched today 05/01/23. Forget the strikes going on at the moment, that doesn’t matter unless you actually put in the post… Useless!!
Ordered the Adeptus Custodes – Watchers of The Gate the day it was available on the website thinking that it would be in good hands with a reputable company emailed them Christmas eve to check on my ordered as I know in the UK we are having strikes at the moment just a reply giving me a refund so now my niece thinks I'm the worst uncle ever and won't speak to me because that's all she wanted from her uncle thanks battleground gaming
Total con men, ordered an item on 13th Dec as a present, paid £8 for next day shipping, no updates or emails and would not reply to my emails and calls, emailed me after a week saying it had not been shipped due to too many orders!!! And would ship Monday 18th, still no update, not shipped and still will not answer emails and calls, have now had to open a case with PayPal to get my money back, but now cannot get the present and will be out of pocket, zero customer service and zero support. Shameful con men…AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Don't be fooled like I was by the 5-star reviews (are they actually real?). The 1-star reviews are certainly correct. This is not an honest shop, and neither is 'Joe'. Customer service is non-existent, and 'Joe' will play victim blaming you for his poor service. Firstly, this store will add an auto-discount on the online store which will discount goods. 'Joe' will then email you the next day advising of the error and asking you to send the shortage via Paypal through 'friends & family' to a completely different email address (Joe I imagine is well aware that by doing this you have NO PROECTION through Paypal). Believing Honest 'Joe' that the auto-discount he applied was an error, I sent the short amount following his instructions and Joe advised he would send it that day. And then nothing. Weeks go by, no actual dispatch notice with a tracking number, and certainly no product (funny that!). Contacting Joe, Joe claims 'it was sent', and he 'would look into it'. So, I requested the tracking code. No response. Chased Joe. No response. Chased Joe again. Finally, a response with Joe playing victim. Now a changed dispatch date and a tracking code.....which does not work (funny that!). Email back to Joe advising it does not work. Joe would 'look into it'. Paypal claim opened, only to find out from Paypal that the claim can only be for the discount amount because the other payment was sent by 'friends & family', and also that this additional payment was sent to a totally different Paypal account.Advised Joe of the fact I have needed to open a claim, and that he needed to either provide a valid working tracking number or refund the item including the 'additional payment'.Next, a victim response with a clearly fabricated story from Joe again blaming me for his problems and for opening a claim (how dare I!) and a refund because of the problems the claim causes. Refunded, but only the original discounted amount, not the additional payment sent via 'friends and family'. Chased Joe for this, pointing out the refund is short of the additional payment. A reply from Joe, this time a rude insulting response including 'he will get to it the next day'. I had to speak with Paypal, reporting fraud and provided evidence how this seller was by-passing customer payment protection. Paypal refunded the payment.No idea how a store like this exists. Worst customer experience I have ever encountered. There is no reassurance or apology, just victim responses regarding the 'problems you have caused him'. The style and language used within Joe's responses, did not demonstrate any form of integrity. This is just one very awful dishonest seller.
