I was having some issues with my email and got connected with Mukund Narayan Choudhary. He resolved my issue with so much patience and guided me through the steps to configure my emails correctly. I would like to thank him for his quick response and quick problem solving skills.
Running a software company like K2Web Solutions and managing over 70 servers, I’ve dealt with my share of bad hosting providers, but BigRock is an absolute joke. Their support team is without a doubt the most technically illiterate group of people I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
My website was automatically suspended because a spam bot hit an unprotected WordPress contact form, triggering the auto-responder and causing a high bounce rate. I get why automated suspensions happen. What I don't get is how a hosting company can employ people who literally do not understand how web servers work.
Enter their support agent, Chaya K., who clearly doesn't have a single functioning brain cell when it comes to basic hosting logic. She kept copy-pasting the same garbage script demanding I log into my WordPress dashboard to disable the auto-responder and add a CAPTCHA before they would reactivate the server.
How the hell do you access a WordPress backend when the Apache server is suspended?
I asked her this basic, logical question multiple times. I explained that she had created an infinite loop of pure stupidity: I need the server active to fix the website, but she won't activate the server until I fix the website. Instead of using her brain, she just kept pasting the same mindless response. To make it even more ridiculous, she told me to "change email passwords" for inboxes that don't even exist, completely failing to grasp that a contact form can send an auto-response without an actual mailbox being created on the server.
There is zero technical knowledge here. It’s just script-reading robots who hold your website hostage because they don't know the difference between Apache and Exim.
If you have any technical knowledge whatsoever, or if you just expect a hosting company to employ people who actually know what a server is, run far away from BigRock. Don't waste your time or your money on this trash host. I am migrating immediately.
BigRock is one of the poorest server providers I have ever experienced. I purchased their Shared Hosting Pro Unlimited plan for 5 years, and the problems started immediately after moving to their server. The server ping time is extremely high, the server response is very slow, and the uptime is hardly 10%. It is impossible to run a professional website under such unstable conditions.
Whenever I contact their support team, instead of taking responsibility, they simply blame my website and say it is not optimized, which is completely unacceptable. I am already running the same WordPress websites on GoDaddy and MilesWeb, and I have never faced any downtime or performance issues there, nor did I ever need to contact their support teams. This clearly proves the issue is with BigRock’s server quality, not my website.
Since BigRock failed to provide a stable and reliable service, I requested either a migration to a better and stable server or a refund of my money. Instead of resolving the issue, they responded arrogantly and pushed me to upgrade to a VPS. It is unreasonable to expect a customer to pay around ₹60,000 per year for a VPS just to run a normal WordPress website, especially after already paying for a long-term shared hosting plan.
This feels more like forcing an upgrade rather than solving a genuine service problem. BigRock has completely failed to deliver the stability, performance, and professionalism promised in their hosting plans.
I want to genuinely share positive feedback for Tripti S. My website domain, linux hosting, website designing were all distributed across multiple service providers, viz hostgator, big rock, GoDaddy and mails on Gmail, which made the troubleshooting complicated. Tripti took the time to fully understand the problem, verified information at her end, and asked me to check specific places for any missing details. She carefully reviewed my screenshots (including my expired hosting status), helped me buy the right hosting plan, updated my nameservers, and when I purchased Premium DNS, she also guided me through setting it up and updating all required records on the Premium DNS platform—including Gmail-related DNS records. She went above and beyond what I expected, and her support was clear, thorough, and reassuring throughout.
