Eastbridge Farm Campsite, Suffolk. Can't believe CCC have inspected this site. Access via VERY narrow lane without passing places - had to back up for a local in a 4x4. No signs when you find the farm. Drove into a muddy farmyard still no signs as to where to go. Eventually spent the night half on a farm track half in a grass field. Found the toilets, they were very dirty. The water supply for drinking is shared with cattle. Still hadn't seen anyone as we were leaving but went and knocked on a door and seemed to get s o meone out ofbed to hand my tenner to. The CCC needs to inspect this site. Its not suitable for November to February camping and they need a shake up on their signage and cleaning.
My parents own a lodge at Theobalds campsite owned by The Camping and Caravanning Club. They have had the lodge for over ten years. Two days ago they received an email stating that the campsite was being sold, with completion tomorrow (Friday).
Absolutely disgusted with The Camping and Caravanning site.
I went there today and even the wardens didn't know what was going on, they had been told at the same time as the lodge owners.
We have to wait until tomorrow to find out who had bought the land. If it's a housing development site, my parents holiday home becomes worthless.
Disgusting that something so clearly been in the making for months has only been told to us the week the land is being sold.
Shame on you Camping and Caravanning Club.

I have been a member of this club for 17 years and have been to a substantial number of sites in England and Wales during that time. By and large, staff have been very accommodating and helpful. They are exacting in the application of rules but that has never been a problem Some of the sites need an upgrade. Some at season's end have lost their grass which means a mudbath when it rains. However, there are complaints about seasonal pitches. 2 years ago, coming down from the North to Devon, I tried, mid season, to book 3 stops on the way, 3 months before the dates I wanted. All the sites were full, if electric hook up was required. I note that seasonal pitches are now offered and these occupy hook up pitches which could otherwise be taken by those who wish to tour. I have since on some sites been amongst unoccupied caravans, weeds and spider's webs growing round them This is clearly not good enough. The club was never founded for this sort of thing.
Stayed on a number of CCC campsites during the year. Have noticed substantial pitch prices rises particularly after covid. The 5pitch sites offer better value for money in fantastic locations ,however I do have a soft spot for Delamere lovely site nice staff. We are lucky as we get the over 60 discount which the other club didn't give.
We've been members for 22 years, starting when our children were small and staying in a tent; now in our motorhome. We've always appreciated the Club's wonderful facilities and the helpful, friendly staff. We've just been to Canterbury Club Site and had a lovely time. Spotlessly clean facilities, lovely hot water showers: just what you need after you've been on the road for a couple of hours. And we especially enjoyed a delicious home made pizza from the 'Fry Lite' van parked on site on Saturday night. Good value too. There's also the Golf Club just opposite on the main road where you can get a hot meal. What's not to like? Who wants to cook or travel into town to eat?Great dog walks around the site and the best place to stay on the way to Europe as the Motorhome and Carvanning site is now closed. Definitely worth another visit - when it's not raining!!
Booked a 4 night end of October Hudson’s field site Really un level pitches Bad lighting and signs No movement until 7am gates are closed at 11pm Felt prison like Staff , not good or helpful Would not stop again , go else were very expensive not value for money .
