Review Time
We placed an order and now are waiting on lead time/our turn in the queue. The customer service seemed great while they were taking our downpayment but now its been 4 weeks of calling all of the contact numbers and names we have and not a single employee from Champion responds. Given this is pretty much the most expensive and high quality option on the market, I expected better customer service.
We had a awesome experience with Dan Grohowski from champion in toledo. He was very professional, courteous and very detailed about showing us everything and telling us everything about the company. Champion beat out others on qoutes we got especially for the window quality.. we liked the hands on approach during the presentation so you know your getting good windows.. we now have booked new windows 🙌 can't wait for them to be installed :)
Kerry and his crew just finished our new sun room and I am very impressed with their work. The salesman took our rough measurements then Tim came out and gave us exact measurements which had to be turned into the City to have them ok the plans. Then Tim came out and marked where the new footings would be. Once our supplies arrived Kerry and his crew ( Mike and Cory ) began construction of our new sun room. They had to take our old deck out first. They worked eight hours a day during the sub zero temperatures for about two weeks and they did excellent work. Kerry put the finishing touches of our new sun room today and we are very happy with the product and the great construction this crew did.
Ordered windows & front door in February, 2021. Everything was measured 2 times by 2 different people. Needed the windows to block drafts and keep out sound. Was told they would. I had replaced the bay windows 18 years ago and they were good at blocking out sound. Seals cracked. Well the front door that came is too short. One window came, is broken and too short. They had to go ahead and install because they already took the old one out. Not one of the people in charge seemed to care. And the company that is financing I expecting payment. I don’t pay for something I don’t have & faulty. I’m so angry I can’t think straight. And reading the reviews it doesn’t look good for a new front door or new window.
Purchased 4 vinyl windows for front of our house at the beginning of Feb. “Factory Representative” told us to get white and paint them since the other windows on our house are wood and painted two colors. He said not to even worry about colors, just paint them. Go to Sherwin Williams and buy exterior paint for vinyl and it rolls right off the window, doesn’t stick at all. Spend over 4 weeks leaving messages with customer service trying to get an Atlanta based manager to call me...with every person I explain the problem and all of them immediately say “you can’t paint the windows, that voids the warranty”. So now I’m confused and getting mixed messages, but still no one from Atlanta office contacts me for over 4 weeks. Also call the factory rep during that time who says he knows they can be painted but he doesn’t know how, and he proceeds to send us a video from a google search he did on how to paint vinyl windows. Video explains sanding the vinyl window before painting. Customer service (Dawn is SO kind)escalates my issue and Ron Hall calls me back. After just a couple of minutes it became clear why his factory rep is as bad as he is because Ron is WORSE. The conversation was long, but in a nutshell Ron said he is not in the business of painting windows and he doesn’t know how to help us EXCEPT that 10 years ago the guy that bought his house ended up painting his windows and he can go find out how he did it. As far as warranty goes he stepped around that issue too and basically said we signed a contract for white windows and what we do with them is on us. Never apologized for his factory rep who misled us big time, never seemed remorseful, was completely defensive and my husband and I were in disbelief that a manager could behave that way. Fuming after my conversation with Ron I then called customer service back and talked to Sheryl who was also super nice and sympathetic to my issue and was at least the 4th person in that office to tell me we can’t paint our windows. SO MANY MIXED MESSAGES!! I told her I need SOMEONE from Champion to help me figure out how to paint the windows so they match my house. I would give this company a “0” if I could. The Atlanta office has the most unknowledgeable, RUDE, unfriendly people working in it. I do appreciate the kindness of the staff in customer service wherever they are located, but I was sold windows that I told could be easily painted...they are not and no one in the company knows how to paint them, and most people in the company say they were trained to tell customers not to try and paint them. Worst purchase I have EVER made, and Ron and his team do not deserve a cent of what I paid for these windows.
These people have completely taken advantage of my grandma. They were hired to do a siding job at her house in September, it is now almost APRIL. The job is half complete and they left supplies and tools littering her yard. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. She has called multiple times asking for someone to come out and finish the job and they continue to give her the run around. They won't even come back out to her house! 100% would not recommend.
I am very upset. In January my window quit going up and down. They sent a repair man and fixing it, he broke the entire sash. He called another person to come and do a measurement for a new window. In February I called to see how long it would take to get the window. They said things are slow and it would take 12 weeks to get it. I understood due to the pandemic. A couple of weeks again another person called to see if I was happy with my new window. I never got the new window and now they can’t find it was even ordered. Now I have to adjust my times for another guy to come in measure again so they can order. This is ridiculous! They were not even apologetic I did not feel. I can’t open the window.
