Our sales consultant Andy was friendly, informative thourough and didn't put any pressure on us for a sale (although we did purchase a 3 season room). I would highly recommend Andy and will call for any further window/door replacement i would need.
I’ve always heard champion Windows was the company to get quality and efficient window work done, clearly I was wrong. First off it took them 3 months after an agreed upon install date, then when that time finally came, the champion measurements were completely wrong. Leaving my sons room unlivable due to a huge hole being left in the wall, now that one is out of for another 2 months, along with the other 3 wrong measured Windows. The crew for the install on the rest of the windows did great for the first 2 days, they said “we will be here first thing in the morning to finish and they never showed, now my bedroom has a bay window sized hole in my wall in the middle of winter. This whole process has been a nightmare due to what I previously state and their complete lack of communication. I don’t recommend this company for window installation. Might as well do it your self.
Our experience with Champion was less than stellar. In fact, from the beginning of this process in June until now it has been horrendous. We ordered three full double hung windows at a cost of $4000. We made the deposit of $2000 on June 25, 2020 but our windows were not installed until August 24, 2020 – two weeks later than the date we were promised. Since we are in a pandemic, we understood the possibility of timing issues but were never contacted by anyone at Champion to let us know there would be a delay. We were not given the windows we purchased. We paid for a premium product. The windows we received were the standard product and one of them was cracked. The installer apologized and indicated someone would return in two weeks to repair the cracked window. We were not satisfied and immediately contacted Champion customer service to let them know about the issues. The person we spoke with stated someone would contact us promptly regarding. We waited patiently for over a week but had no response so we called again without a positive result. We spoke to several customer service representatives but got nowhere. We left numerous messages with no return calls. Finally, after three months of being given the run around, we got a call from a representative who put us in contact with a man who was identified as a national customer service rep. This was the week of November 16, 2020. He called us and we were unavailable but called him leaving a voicemail. His voicemail stated that he had a 24 hour turn around for messages. We called four additional times and left voicemails but never got a return call. The only reason we were able to make contact with him then is because we called customer service – again – and explained our inability to reach this person. The person we spoke to worked in the same building as the National Customer Service Rep and was able to get him to call us back the same day. From the beginning of the call he was very rude. He denied that his outgoing message indicated a 24 hour turn around. He accused us of blackmail and extortion because we explained we would be contacting the BBB and other consumer review sites to warn other people how this company operates. We told him that we do not want their product and would like a refund. The sale’s rep said Champion would not honor our request. We even tried to compromise by accepting the incorrect windows for the amount of the deposit we paid since there was a substantial cost difference, but this sale’s rep. refused to work with us. He insisted that Champion return and install the correct windows. We had a contract for a specific product and style but did not receive them initially. It took four months to even reach someone to discuss the issues we had with the company. It should not take six months to resolve an issue. We have never dealt with a company that was so lacking in customer service. We reiterated this situation reflected poorly on the company and asked to speak with someone else in authority but this sale’s rep told us he was the head of customer service and that he was the only person we could talk to about our issues. His exact quote was that he was “the highest of the high in the company” next to the CEO. The conversation became heated and he hung up while I was still talking. After this exchange I reached out to the CEO with no response. A few days later we called customer service again and indicated we need a resolution but stressed that we did not want to speak to the previous sale’s rep. We were directed to the VP of Human Resources. At first, we thought this person was going to be helpful but as the discussion progressed we realized she was more interested in talking down to us than taking responsibility for our problems. She did not allow us to get a word in edge wise. She finally agreed that Champion needed to find a resolution that would be satisfactory for us. We discussed the difference in the prices for what we ordered and what was actually installed. She said it would take a few days for her to gather all the information required to figure things out, but we didn’t hear from her again. After ten days we received a phone call from the previous sale’s rep which we made very clear we did not want to speak with again. The conversation was more heated and ugly than before. This time we ended the call. Champion Windows is a terrible company. From day one they have exhibited terrible customer service and a lack of integrity. It has been six months since we gave them a deposit in good faith with still no resolution.
So pleased with our windows and doors. The entire experience was exceptional. From Zach Ellis demo to Jerry's installation crew to Darrel's follow up for the sunroom screens. Value for the money is tremendous. Dianne and I do not let a day go by without a comment about how much we love our new windows. we have seen the electric bill go down by at least $50 per month. So pleased!!!
We had Champion replace all our doors and windows about 6 years ago. The front windows were installed incorrectly, and we had to have our front wall replaced because the damage was so extensive. Champion had us pick a contractor for the repair and the window was fixed. This incident took almost a year to resolve. Champion did not perform the repair because we were told to get our own contractor. Now the front door glass shattered for no apparent reason, being a retired police investigator, I cannot find any reason for the glass breakage. I contacted Champion via their online warranty request service about 5 weeks ago. We also went to the Champion office and requested warranty service. No one has shown up or called. I called today and was told because we had a claim previously our warranty was voided. I was never told this, so I am quite upset regarding this situation. I am disabled and receiving Social Security so I cannot afford this. I had to file a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General’s office and the BBB last time, so I have filed another complaint for this issue.
Ex-Customer, AVOID this company!Reply to Reply: I already contacted you and explained what happened and I was told QUOTE-"We'll Mr. Lincoln besides everything that happened, how did you like the play." Seriously? That is what I get? Even your General Manager said he was returning my call because he "HAD" to but he wasn't going to be able to do anything for me. So calling was just a formality.LEAKING ROOF, cut aluminum in my yard without a tarp and made a mess. On top of a 7 foot ceiling!? 7' REALLY!?!?!?!? You needed to fix that but you REFUSED TO!!! Said, oh you signed a contract, that was your go to move... toss up some paper to AVOID working with me- HELL I was even going to pay your for the adjustments I just wanted it FIXED but you wouldn't even do that. Who in their right mind would enjoy a 7 foot ceiling!? The installers must have been dropped on their heads at birth!!! So now I get to enjoy my sunroom made for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!
I am looking to replace my old main door. Nowadays, it was very hard to select the best door for there are thousands of items to choose from. I came across Champion Windows and Home Exteriors and they have a great variety of items. Luckily, the sales representative was very knowledgeable about doors and helped me on my selection. We talked about the dimensions, the type of materials I want, the colors and designs and it was such a smooth process. We narrowed my preferred type of door and I purchased it immediately. Good quality for the amount I've spent!
