Went into Charles Hurst seat the other day,they had a 2020 seat ateca I was interested in after speaking to the salesman he was polite but I was offered £7800 on my car.My jaw dropped and I actually laughed because in 2 other reputable dealers offered me £10200 and £10500 on similar priced cars.So I put the details into webuyanycar and the price came up at £10500.Charles hurst must have there own price book because they are definately not abiding by general car prices.
I inquired about a used vehicle while bringing a well-maintained trade-in. The trade-in value offered was significantly lower than expected, despite similar vehicles being priced much higher. When I questioned their evaluation, they referenced a guide that didn't reflect actual market conditions. They didn't even inspect my trade-in. I felt like they were only interested in maximizing their profits at my expense, and I won't be returning.
My husband attempted to purchase a van here and ended up wasting a lot of time. The finance was initially quoted at around £330 per month for four years with a £2500 deposit. However, the sales representative seemed to underestimate us, suggesting a £2500 deposit and £330 per month for five years instead. What a disappointment! This was all for a van that had a significant scrape along the side.

The trade-in value was estimated at £3k to £3.25k, while similar cars were listed for £5k to £5.5k. To my surprise, I was offered only £1.1k to £1.5k. When I questioned this, they referenced a guide valuing it at £2.7k retail, despite higher sale prices. They didn't even inspect the car. If I had accepted their offer, they would have cleaned it and sold it for at least £4.5k, pocketing a hefty profit. The company seems more focused on profit than fair dealings. I won't be returning.
I received a recall notification for a faulty vehicle. The representative assured me that the chain and timing belt would be replaced for free. I had to arrange transportation multiple times, only to find out they did nothing. The staff member at reception lacked basic people skills and was quite unfriendly. Given that they profit from recalls, they should be responsible for picking up vehicles themselves. Overall, it was a complete waste of time.
My parents had a terrible experience with customer service here. After paying a reservation fee, they were promised a simple refund but have been given the runaround for over two weeks with vague excuses. The manager was rude and unprofessional, even trying to blame my parents for the delay. The lack of accountability and respect is unacceptable.
