When hiring a car through this website it gave me the impression that I bought a full coverage insurance. When I got in touch with the actual car hire company they told me that whatever insurance I had board their was not relevant for them. Also, check24 did not tell me that I would not be able to hire a car because I only had a debit card. Basically they provided an entirely unnecessary service, provided confusing and unnecessary information and made us almost end up without a hire car. In the end I paid 60% cancellation fee (less than 24h before pick up) for a service that I would not have been able to access in the first place.
Try to book with the actual companies and not to go through intermediaries.

I rented through them without realizing they were just a middleman, as they were the only option available online in that area. I completed the booking online, only to arrive and find out they weren’t the actual rental company.Because I booked through them, I was required to pay a €1,000 deposit for a small car for just one week because I have rented through them and nkt directly with the rental company . I was then told that if I paid an additional €200 or so on top of what I had already paid, the deposit would be reduced to €350.So there I was, in the middle of nowhere in Spain, with my 3-year-old toddler and a lot of luggage, trying to decide whether to risk losing €1,000 over a scratch I may not have even noticed, or pay even more just to reduce the risk or loose less .Absolutely disgusting.
Unethical business .They offered certain conditions on their website, but once you complete the payment, the characteristics no longer match what was originally advertised. For example, winter tyres suddenly became snow chains.The process for submitting a claim is painful and ineffective — you are forced to use a chatbot. I even exchanged emails with some of their employees, “expert car rental” according to their business signature, but they simply redirected me back to the chatbot.The chatbot interprets your inputs incorrectly and does not respect the literal meaning of your words. The space provided has a character limit that is clearly insufficient to properly describe your issue, and you cannot attach any documents to support and prove your claim.On top of all that, they do not respond to claims.NEVER AGAIN.
Never again will I use them. I booked 2 cars, cancelled 1 because o needed more days and the attention was completely non-existent when o tried to modify the booking. On the second booking they kept all my money and I did not get the car be shade I lacked a credit card.Always go with the car company.
After going through all the details , I was only offered 1 quote, which is not much of a comparison + said i had to put my phone number in to confirm price(even though it kept saying 100% online) then when i did put number , my only quote disappeared!This was for a VW T5, which have owned for 5 years, not some exotic sports car + I am a 60 year old man, with excellent insurance history.Am getting the feeling will be getting lots of marketing emails & calls ! cannot see any other reason for doing this
I booked a 7-seater automatic through Check24 for pickup at Frankfurt Airport, but was initially given a 5-seater, which was far too small for our needs. Unfortunately, the assistance provided was minimal. After raising a significant complaint, they offered a 7-seater manual—which I am unable to drive. Again, support was lacking, and only after escalating the issue further did they locate a 7-seater automatic for us, which required additional waiting. After travelling for 30 hours, this was the last thing we needed. The entire experience was frustrating and stressful due to the poor service, lack of communication, and disregard for customer comfort. While we were waiting, another customer was given a dirty car, and the staff refused to clean or exchange it. Avoid Alamo!
