When I bought my car from here, I dealt with Tony. He was friendly, polite and had a relaxed approach. I didn't feel pressured into a decision and wanted to buy it after I'd taken it for a test drive.My luck being my luck, the car broke down 3 weeks in. As it was still under their 30-day warranty, it had to be collected from my address to be repaired back in Chepstow. The positive experience I had with this - the car was collected the same day I called (later in the evening) and was fixed the following day. The negative I took from it was the guy I spoke to originally wanted me to get the car to them, approximately 35 miles away, but with some reluctance did arrange collection once I'd pointed out it wasn't possible to drive the car to them. I was also asked to use my AA breakdown cover (you can activate free 12 months cover when you purchase a car from this garage) to get the car there, but it clearly states the cover is for 1/4 mile away from your home and will only take you and your car to the nearest garage. Once I'd established this also wasn't possible, then collection was arranged. It felt like if I hadn't said anything, it would have been left at "ok, get the car to us" and I would have been stuck with a broken-down carI would also point out that I had to arrange transport to go and collect the car once it was fixed, I would have appreciated if it was delivered back to me, but maybe that extra mile is too much to ask.All in all, the actual purchasing experience was a pleasant experience. The customer service when dealing with a problem within the warranty period, could be better. However, with that being said, they did what was expected and got the issue sorted.An honest 3 star rating from my experience.
Fantastic selection of vehicles to choose from. The staff are very helpful and not at all pushy. This is the second vehicle we have bought here. We are absolutely delighted with our car and would not hesitate to recommend Chepstow Trade Centre.
Bought a Ford focus had a few advisories asked Tony to do them and they were done meet rob when picked car up and was really brilliant talked us through everything could not ask for better service really best thing as a family could ask for and even touched up a scratch that we did not ask them to do as they said they would take money off great company and even better service thank you very much George and emma
Firstly dealt with Tony and then Rob. Both efficient, not pushy at all. Both were a breeze to deal with,Travelled all the way from Bristol,Fresh MOT on the motor, full service. Couldn’t fault there responses, there time and patience. Dealt and done an amazing job with all requests. All carried out in a timely manner.5 days from viewing to collecting. Really efficient in every way. Couldn’t be more grateful if the amazing find of finding them. Best service we’ve received from any garage we’ve been too before previously. We were like a family of misfits - all the kids come to view, gang of 7 of us in total, but this didn’t phase them. They were patient with all parties all firing different requests and questions. Smooth collection, couldn’t fault them in any single way.Car is ticked all the boxes we were looking for within decent budget, in fact only one we found to tick all boxes within hour drive of ourselves even further a field didn’t have much we wanted. We’re grateful and a very happy family. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back to these guys next time!Great touch with receiving a surprised touch up of paint on the back that we weren’t expecting and a little token gift of a trolley coin on the keys. We had an issue with the car we bought from chepstow trade centre but in all fairness Tim (owner) was true to his word & did fix the car. It was a gearbox issue on an auto & he paid to have it replaced so very happy in the end although we had to wait a while for the fix it was worth it as it's running perfectly now so thanks Tim. 😊
