Review Time
I received it in the mail, my name was half wrong. I emailed them about a correction which I assumed I'd have to pay for but they just directly refused to, they then said I'd have to get a refund and find another service (there isn't one) and they gave me the email to their refund service, I emailed them and got no response. I had to charge it back with the bank
AVOID!Have had terrible experience with 'citizencard'.Two 'pre-paid' failed attempts found them refusing a refund on grounds my payment supports their time and effort to process and validate alone. They are clearly not obligated to provide any recourse.Well not good enough I say. £36 lost and untold time and effort, trying to source their finer requirements, when same was accepted by passport application.Found the whole process unnecessarily stressful.Stupidity led me to apply and pay twice, as got sucked in by their 'pro-forma' emails suggesting process needs to be restarted.I am therefore compelled to advise to stay well clear of this lot.
What was promised from citizen card to be an easy, quick and reliable application turned out to be the exact opposite!I applied for two cards for both of my children in February 2025, since then they have messed me around over and over again.They have asked for multiple copies of birth certificates, change of name deeds and photos, which I provided 5 times in total.I've had to get my nominee to sign and sign again to please citizen card only for them to now ask for my nominee details which they have been given several times.And on top of that, they refuse to refund my £30 saying the same generic nonsense of the money being used for the application process, which hasn't happened yet, as 7 MONTHS later, I am still waiting for the cards to be issued!!!!One staff member Rebecca, is as blunt as they come, she doesn't care that this long drawn out 7 month idiocy farce has made me unwell, and they keep making stuff up as they go along with no results at the end of it.I've had no apology, and to messed about like this is nothing short of cruelty to a valued customer who has done EVERYTHING that has been asked, and I am beginning to think this is some sort of vendetta against me for daring to ask for a refund and making a complaint.Do yourself a favour, DO NOT get your ID from citizen card, go to the DVLA instead as they do not ask for hardly any hefty paperwork that these jobsworth's ask for.7 months later, and still no cards.Well done citizen card, yet another customer unhappy with your bad service and cold nature. 👎
