Initial installation was smooth, but support is lacking.

In early April 2024, an inverter and batteries were installed for me with a smooth sales process. However, the installation felt hurried and lacked attention to detail. For instance: a) There were large holes in the exterior wall for the wires, but all the brick dust was left behind, and no effort was made to seal the gaps around the wires, allowing cold air and pests to enter. b) An engineer from my electricity supply company later discovered that one of the wires in the blocks installed had not been secured properly, posing a fire risk. Despite these issues, the system has been functioning well, allowing me to utilize cheaper electricity rates. A couple of weeks ago, one of the batteries failed, and I expected support from the supplier, but I was mistaken! 1) My email to the company requesting assistance went completely unanswered. 2) A message sent through their website received an automated reply, but no further communication. 3) A follow-up email asking for a response generated a voicemail from a representative, which felt more like a sales pitch than the help I needed. 4) Unable to return the call, I sent another email detailing my request but was ignored again. Fortunately, the battery supplier I contacted was much more helpful and is coming to investigate the issue, even offering a health check of the entire system. It only took one call to resolve this—an experience vastly different from my dealings with the initial company. As others have noted, while the product and sales process are commendable, the lack of support after the sale is disappointing.

Unfortunately it doesn’t allow you to put a 0 stars.They don’t ring back , they ignore emails and are full of excuses.Not had the dog ate my homework one yet though!What they are good at is taking your deposit and giving you a 4 to 6 week lead time and not contacting you back to book in the work.They’ve had my money for 14 weeks , I’ve been waiting 4 weeks for refund from cancellation from the lack of communication/progress. I’ve still not had my deposit refunded! Absolutely disgusting! First ‘we’ll look into it’ next ‘it should be sorted in 5-7 days’ (those 5-7 days come and go and still nothing) next ‘online banking is down’ next ‘financial director is looking into it’ next ‘company director is now involved’ next ‘we’ll ring back tomorrow with an update’…nothing!Currently in contact with trading standards ,which may take a while as Christmas holidays and then I’m going legal.Merry Christmas

Swindlers

Climasatar offers a supposed lifetime warranty on the stone that forms the base of their entire system and is the most expensive component of their radiators. The other components have a 2 or 3 year warranty (depending on when you bought them). This seems reassuring, making you think you'll have radiators for life, especially after a significant financial outlay, as their equipment is quite expensive. The REALITY is that when, after a few years, an internal component of the radiator breaks down (something inexpensive that should, in principle, be replaceable), it turns out the radiator can't be repaired. Their response is that those components are discontinued, and their only solution is to replace the radiator WITH A NEW ONE, requiring another outlay. You're left with the stone that had the lifetime warranty, to use as a headboard and bang your head against it every night for being so foolish as to trust these swindlers.

Great friendly service and a fab product

We were looking for a couple of radiators to work along side the existing heating system in a couple of rooms and chose climastar for the aesthetics and performance. We have just had them installed and are extremely pleased. The ease and speed of installation was far better than I hoped. The guys were very professional and really accommodating with my asks. Eg they went above and beyond what I expected in terms of hiding the wires...and the end result looks amazing. Early days but the performance is just what we expected and they are working a treat. Everyone we have dealt with at climastar have been friendly and helpful...with no hard sell and a real sense they listen to what you want and offer options and advice and dont push you to something you don't want or need. I highly recommend them.

Avoid this company…

Communication and service are absolutely deplorable. Avoid this company. We have been trying to receive a refund for an order placed in Sept (and we are now in December) that they failed to deliver on. The company are ignoring our emails and phonecalls. We will now be seeking legal advice.Ben from Climastar has been in touch today (08th Dec) and is investigating our complaint. Nice to speak to someone who looks to be actively seeking a resolution. Will update once this is resolved. Thankyou so far for your assistance Ben.

Customer service is dreadful

Customer service is dreadful. We came back from holiday to find our combi boiler had developed a fault. No hot water, and heating that wouldn’t turn off. We contacted them as soon as we could and it took them 3 days to diagnose the problem. Another 3 days to get the part needed, and up to today we have had no hot water for over 2 weeks, as despite the fact they received the part last week, it still hasn’t been installed.
