During the time when I was in need of help to buy my car, after I got contacted with Close Brothers Group through my car dealer, everything was smooth and fast, even when I contacted you about the date of payment it was accepted to change without delay, thanks for your support and you kindness
I have insurance with Prima car insurance and they use close brothers for the finance, after moving address recently my insurance has nearly doubled yet my policy with Aviva on my other vehicle has gone down in price, I do not understand how one company can reduce my premiums and yet close brothers has nearly doubled theirs, I have contacted the financial ombudsman and I am awaiting a reply to find out if their reason's are legal as I don't and neither does the ombudsman understand how one premium with one company has gone down in price but yet close brothers have doubled theirs.
Financed a car for my elderly, disabled mother and it’s not road worthy, in fact it’s dangerous. Timing chain, head gasket and leaking oil all over the brakes and onto the engine and floor to name but a few issues. Had the car assessed at 2 garages and both have said it needs a complete engine rebuild and is not safe to drive. Close brothers finance took 3 months to arrange with the dealer to have the car back to repair and it’s come back with more issues than it left with. The dealer is a very unpleasant man and clearly a con artist, his online reviews are absolutely dire, a finance company shouldn’t even be working with this “trader” at all.Now the car is back and deemed dangerous close brothers are ignoring my elderly mothers calls at all costs and have offered no help at all. This car needs rejecting and a replacement found.My next call is to trading standards and the financial ombudsman in regards to both close brothers and the original dealer to try and get this dealt with.
I was having issues at work with payroll, I phoned close brothers and got speaking to an absolute gentleman, treated me very well and listened to what I had to say, I can’t thank this guy enough, unfortunately I didn’t get his name but would be more than happy to recommend him at any time, he needs a PROMOTION!
