I've encountered significant issues with the joint management of my account by Close Brothers and Swinton Insurance. Despite attempts to resolve the matter, poor communication between the two companies has resulted in a default notice being served to me, impacting my credit score by 48 points. Despite assurances given, the situation remains unresolved after two weeks of attempting to reach out. Disappointing experience overall.

Charged an extortionate late fee of…

Charged an extortionate late fee of almost £50 for a direct debit that was returned for whatever reason, how do you justify this? Then attempting to pay online their service does not work and the only option was by phone, had to take time off work to make the phone call, only took a week to sort it out but found out they had already sent a debt collector around to take photos of the car, this is a slimy, careless company with extortionate fees, if you can avoid using their motor finance division please do

They will overcharge you

Changed my car and my premiums went up to £70. Then delayed pick up of my new car by a week, resulting in the premium going down but monthly payments going up to £90 a month. Noone there with any ability to do basic maths and customer service is appalling, their response is “my premiums went up because I got a new car”. Avoid at all costs

Very unprofessional service from Close Brothers don't have corporate ethics Lauren Flores from Complain team has least experience to handle customer, Close Brothers Motor Finance poor managment system cant be trusted at all. also they have all dodgy dealers, broker plus support all dodgy car dealer she will go at any label for her greed. a finance to purchase a BMWX5 YC65TZM on 21/2/24 car was with full of serious fault1. Drivetrain Engine Failure2. Brocken suspension3. Break does not work at allI inform her and rejected this car on 23/2/24 within 3 days of purchase close brother Lorraine refuse to listen to me even force me to take that faulty carI have requested her to inspect or arrange the repair evidence bill receipts etc she just bang phone on my face, after 3 weeks I have collect the vehicle on 20/3/24 again on 25/03/24 the same fault Drivetrain and poor BreaksI have send all evidence audio, Video and emails but still to close brothers finance and dodgy broker choose my finance or choose my car they simply refuse to cooperate. Very unprofessional attitude I am not sure what was their personal interest on forcing me to buy this car else in UK as per law if there is fault in the vehicle can reject within 6 months but they force me all the way to collect this car now I have collected the car and sent it to BMW main Dealer to inspect the car. I was socked when I got the report from BMW there are more than 8 serious faults including drive train, main battery does not work attached mileage wise fault on the top of that I have not even received V5C after 5 Weeks. this was very disappointing for a customer the dealer, broker and the finance company does not cooperate at all I spent another £2000 on my taxi bills etc which is they have to compensate, to get fair justice in the UK now I am seeking legal advise to sue all of them for selling faulty vehicle, forcing customer to drive a faulty car and mental harassment from last 6 weeks. BMW Blackpool Advise not to drive this car but Lauren Flores close this case without inspection the vehicle is a direct insult of the customer comunity still want me to drive this car on motorways

Very Unprofessional service Lorraine…

Very Unprofessional service Lorraine from Complain team force me to collect this faulty car when I was requesting them to inspect the car she refuse to do the same was a insult to the customer as well breach of contact, I collected the car on 20th March again but has the same engine failure fault drivetrain, I am preparing to take them to the court now to reject this faulty vehicle.

Never had a problem with this company, requested a settlement figure all good was clear how to pay, but 3 days later still waiting for confirmation that its settled even after ringing I was promised a email and end of the day still waiting, when it's alot of money you need to be sure its paid off

Really concerned by the practice of this company having arranged a vehicle credit agreement through a broker without my permission or knowledge furthermore the exorbitant a.p.r was quite frankly shocking my insurance was non auto renewal and to commence any financial transaction without permission is in my view a poor and questionable way to do business.

great company ,been around forever.!

just settled yet another vehicle finance agreement with them, financed so many cars over the years now with them and always the same , simple to obtain the finance , easy set up, good ongoing comunication when i need it and no barriers when i want to settle , i wouldnt go anywhere else
