Dealing with core legal was one of the worse experience I have ever had. Buying a property would have been much less stressful if they had bothered keeping me updated and avoided silly mistakes.If I could give zero stars I would ! Ashleigh and Anthony Bastain just did not care about anything until it was time to complete.Due to their incompetence , I had to delay the exchange by another week, cancel a holiday and make new arrangements for another completion day. The worse thing about Core Legal is the lack of customer service, there were none. They do not reply to emails or calls. Not once during the whole process did Ashleigh or Anthony bother calling me. Ashleigh called me once to confirm my bank details and that was on completion date. I begged them to call or email me but no one ever did. Was so frustrating.Their customer service department has no clue to what the solicitors are doing and cannot reach or call or email them..what sort of company operates this way.Most of the time the people on the phone got angry when I demanded to speak to my solicitor and kept saying that there is nothing they could do.I am now hoping that people will read this review before choosing this company and please, trust me, go else where. Awful awful company to deal with. Feb 2024, more than a year after the sale of my house, core legal emailed me to confirm that they had done all their checks. Awful company!
Fantastic service by Rebecca Genner and Lucy Briscoe at Core Legal, Stockton on Tees. They were both always on hand to help with any queries, and we had a few! Rebecca and Lucy guided us every step of the way and made a potentially stressful time much less so. I would highly recommend Core Legal, a true 5 star experience. Thank you so much 😁
If I can give them zero starts I would!!! Completed sale of property Oct 2022, After months of no response and Core legal missing first exchange date. By Feb 2023 they hadnt submitted application to land registry. By July, I asked different solicitors to chase up my application and was informed that Land registry sent a request to Core Legal and never got any replies, they were issued a warning of cancellation of registration and they still never replied, application was cancelled in May and I wasn’t informed!!! They are a nightmare, avoid at all cost
Where to even start? I would not recommend their services. We have had no communication from them, we have received empty promises time and time again. It seems you cannot get a email response under a week or EVER get to talk to people on the phone. Even if you do leave voicemails no one is ever courteous enough to ring you back. We are still yet to complete and our completion date was suppose to be 31/08 and we are still awaiting a response on query’s. It seems that they do not care for customer service or the stress that they cause their clients.
If I could give minus 10 I would. This firm are shocking, they have no idea how to communicate! You ring you leave messages you email them but they just don’t answer you! They lose paperwork and don’t care. I know solicitors on average are taking 5 months at present. But these are a joke. There is nothing professional about them. This company have made selling my house a headache. My solicitor is amazing these are the solicitors my buyer is using. My buyer is now in a hotel as they have missed deadlines given to them for when we wanted to complete. Working in an estate agents I am aware of timescales and expectations, but if you want a hassle free journey with a solicitor that knows how to communicate you would be wise not to use these! Avoid these at all costs as all you will get from them is silence! This company made selling a house the most stressful experience of my life and I still haven’t completed yet! Just don’t use them, pay double or triple anywhere else it will be worth it. Just don’t use them!
Appalling service from start to finish. Emails and phone calls ignored for weeks. Paperwork sent out with incorrect address. Payments not recorded correctly. It is not an online service as advertised, everything needs to be posted and certified at additional cost. It took nearly 2 months for someone to give us details of where to send a formal complaint; and even then it was only a postal address given over then phone. Avoid. More stress and hassle than they’re worth.
